1. Each group is assigned to list either common nouns for people, places or things.

2. On teachers cue, pupils write a common noun based on the category assigned to
opportunities for their group. Pupils state the word as they write.

4. Pupils share their ideas with the class and paste their words on a table prepared
by the teacher.
ACTIVITY 2:
1. Each group is given a piece of drawing paper and select a place found in their
neighbourhood (e.g.: market, clinic, school, etc.)
2. Using a mind map, pupils list out at least 10 common nouns that they might see /
find at the place.

CLOSURE
1. Each group gets 4 sentences with blanks. Everyone in the group takes turn to fill
review and in the blank of one sentence with the correct noun (based on the theme done
