I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session, the students will be able to:
1. Analyze the culture of the Jews that gave rise to Judaism.
2. Distinguish the different Jewish practices and beliefs.
3. Identify a story from the Old Testament that demonstrates the Jewish belief in one God.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer

4. Review of the Previous Topic
Ask a student to recall on the previous topic.
B. Lesson Procedure
1. Activity Film Viewing
a. The teacher will play the movie, Ten Commandments.
b. The teacher will tell the students to take note of the following based on the movie.
Culture of the Jews
Jewish practices and beliefs
Jewish customs or traditions
2. Analysis and Discussion
a. Have you recognized the culture of the Jews based on the movie?
b. Can you give one Jewish culture that gave rise to Judaism? What is that?
c. What are the Jewish practices and beliefs that you have distinguished?
d. What one Jewish custom or tradition that you have identified based on the movie?
3. Abstraction
The teacher will discuss further on the different Jewish practices and beliefs and
customs or traditions.
4. Application
The students will write a reflection paper based on the movie, Ten Commandments.
The students will indicate a Jewish custom or tradition demonstrated in the movie, and the
different Jewish practices and beliefs. They will write their reflection paper in a short bond
paper. Margin will be 1 inch for top, bottom, left, and right. Spacing will be 1.5.
IV. EVALUATION
The students will be evaluated orally for checking of understanding.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Familiarize the Ten Commandments as stated in the Old Testament.
