Coordinator, Tutoring Service Coordinator

Rules for Elections:


No dropdowns allowed
Speech must not exceed 1 minute
Must email nominations to the NHS Email by May 20th
You can nominate yourself

Duties of National Honor Society Officers:

President
1.)Preside over all meetings.
2.)Meet with administrator to update them on chapter activities and goals.
3.)Assume leadership role in organizing fundraisers and service projects.
4.)Organize Induction Ceremony.
5.)Research possible service projects and activities for chapter.
6.)Read and become familiar with the NHS handbook and constitution and be able to inform members of
its contents.

Vice President
1.)Preside over all meetings in absence of President.
2.)Determine all meeting dates to be approved by advisor and administrator.
3.)Maintain all community service and tutoring records through members timesheets.

Secretary
1.)Take minutes at all meetings-copy and give to advisor.
2.)Read back minutes from previous meetings.
3.)Keep accurate attendance-contact members who have missed meeting without notifying advisor.
4.)Write announcements and have them approved by advisor.
5.)Maintain accurate membership contact information.

Treasurer
1.)Keep ledger/updated record of all transactions with Mr. Richter
2.)Collect all money made or raised by chapter, and fill out deposit slips when necessary in coordination
with Mr. Richter.
3.)Fill our budget at the end of the year.
4.)Fill our NHS chapter information for the following year.
5.)Coordinate the Blood Drives for the Franklin High School

Public Relations Office


1) Create all publicity materials for advertising various NHS events.
2) Coordinate all publicity of events by effectively communicating to membership and others.
3) Produce press releases to community to showcase NHS activities.

Service Project Coordinator


1.) Explain individual service projects to members each spring and fall.
2.) Distribute and collect service project requirements and proposals to all members.
3.) Review service project proposals and adjust, then contact members as needed.
4.) Assume leadership role in organizing fundraisers and service projects.
5.) Work with Publicity Office to showcase all service activities.

Tutoring Service Coordinator


1,) Work with the Advisors and FHS Administration to coordinate tutoring within FHS.
2.) Communicate all Tutoring opportunities to membership.
3.) Identify any Tutoring activities outside FHS,
