Working Title:
Sexual Discrimination in Sports
Research Question:
Should we unify the gender division across collegiate, professional and
Olympic sports?
Working Thesis:
Although safety concerns may arise, upholding gender segregation in adult
sport promotes gender inequality, sexual discrimination and diminishment of
female athletic capabilities.
Introduction:
Sports fans are driven by the principle of uncertainty; the main ingredient in
the addiction we know as sports. Allowing sport gender integration creates
an electrifying and an even more uncertain environment. Diversity within a
competition allows for more electrifying games which brings out the best in
athletes, happier fans, and bigger celebrations. Now there may be some
speculation from chauvinists people who believe men are superior to
woman. Individuals who expect women to underperform in gender mixed

sport because of her gender will be blown away to see the athletic
capabilities of the female body. This topic cannot be equated to youth sport
because children are more prone to injury and are too young to be cautiously
aware of their surroundings. If there isnt full unfiltered unisexual
competition, how will fans know that the person that won cant be easily
beaten by their female counterpart?

C. I will use this source to address my oppositions claim that women
should not be able to compete with men because a males body
type is not the same as a females. I will support this by recapping
each testimony it states as to why biological composition doesnt
matter. I will use this source to support my claim that men and
women are fully capable to compete coherently by justifying the
differences in masculine and feminine sports.
