Production Process of Perfume with Mosquito Repellant (MOSCENTO)
I. Collection of Ingredients
Gathering of organic compounds of the different part of plants including the
Packaging
flowers, leaves, bark, roots, resin, and peels.
The said organic compound must meet very stringent quality standard. Suppliers
must comply with top-quality processes from the moment of purchase to the moment
of delivery. Every raw ingredient batch is tested by our chemist to ensure that it
meets our strict quality requirements. Our quality processes are one of our main
assets and greatly benefit our customers.
II. Extraction
Steam distillation is the method used in essential oil production, it involves the
flow of steam into a chamber holding the raw plant material. The steam causes small
sacs containing essential oil to burst. The oil is then carried by the steam out of the
chamber and into a chilled condenser, where the steam once again becomes water.
(Hydro-distillation is a similar process where the plant material is boiled, with the
resultant steam being captured and condensed). The oil and water are then
separated.
III. Blending
80
There are calculated measurements of perfume alcohol, fragrance oil, and
essential oil before the mixing process. Blending process is thoroughly combining
the said different ingredients to produce the mixture.
IV. Curing
After the oils are extracted, blended, and mixed with alcohol, the concoction is
ready for the aging process. During this period, the mixture is set aside in a storage
tank in a dark, cool area. It stays here for several months to one year without being
disturbed. The aging process helps bind the alcohol and oils together. After the aging
process, an expert will test the scent to make sure that it's correct. Usually, the smell
will be stronger than it was before the aging process. Any desired adjustment and
additional blending can take place at this point.
V. Perfume Filling and Spray Pump Crimping Process
The cured mixture will be placed in the automatic filling machine and in the
spray pump crimping machine.
VI. Packaging
The packaging has three main purposes:
Function
The purpose of product packaging is to protect the product from
damage, not only protects the product during transit from manufacturer
to the retailer, but it also prevents damage while the product sits on
retail shelves.
81
Attraction
How the product is packaged will attract customers to take a look at
the product as it sits on the store shelves.
Promotion
The appearance of the packaging plays an important role in attracting
potential buyers. So, it is a must for cover to be captivating, attention-
grabbing and beautiful enough to bring people to try it on.
