that our boys meet a beautiful world and amazing animals.

NATURAL RESERVES IN MEXICO


In Mexico, there are several places where wildlife is protected, if you know of any
mistreatment of any species, and denounces it so that the trained personnel of each
reserve can act and give shelter to the animal.
The different natural reserves in Mexico are:

Chiapas

RESERVATION OF BIOSPHERE MONTES AZULES.


It extends on 331,290 hectares. Montes Azules protects about 300 species of as yet
unidentified plants in a high jungle dotted with lakes and rivers. The reserve is
isolated and crosses the Mexican border with Guatemala in the middle of the
Lacandon Jungle. The access It is difficult but if you decide to go into your jungle you
will be rewarded by observing Jaguars and timid tapirs, king vultures, spider
monkeys and toucans. There are organized tours to the archaeological site of
Yaxchiln and other places.

RESERVE OF THE BIOSPHERE THE TRIUMPH.


With an extension of 119,475 hectares El Triunfo is one of the smallest reserves in
Mexico. To visit it requires a permit from the Institute of Natural History of Chiapas. El
Triunfo is located in the Sierra Madre and presents areas of cloud forest, mountain
forest and pine forest. The fauna includes quetzal and horned peacock, both birds of
brilliant colors, in danger of extinction and difficult to observe in the Mayan World.
There are rustic camping sites in the area .

Tabasco

CENTRAL BIOSPHERE RESERVE.


Located in the Gulf of Mexico, on the coast of Tabasco, Centla covers about 300,000
hectares of marshes, mangroves, savannah and selval. The Usumacinta and San
Pedro rivers flow into the Gulf of Mexico, because of this the wetlands of the reserve
are especially rich in species. Local boaters frequently rent their boats for river rides.
Programs are being developed to promote ecotourism in this reserve.

Campeche

CALAKMUL BIOSPHERE RESERVE.


Calakmul is the largest tropical reserve in Mexico with 722,925 hectares, and is
composed of dense tropical forests and numerous archaeological sites. There are
several programs for the conservation of the area. Together with the Petn region of
Guatemala and northern Belize, the flora and fauna of Calakmul includes some
orchids that are endemic to the area and Endangered species such as the spider
monkey, the tapir and the king vulture.

Yucatn

RESERVATION OF RIO LAGARTOS.


This place is a favorite of tourists because it is easy to travel the 119,475 hectares in
which nest 30,000 flamingos. The abundance and variety of waterfowl that inhabit its
muddy waters, mangroves, beaches, marshes, lagoons and marshes, make Rio
Lagartos a pleasant experience for tourists. Boat trips, land transportation and hotels
are always available. On the west coast of Yucatan is the reserve of Celestn, also
worthy of being visited.

Quintana Roo

SIAN KA'AN BIOSPHERE RESERVE.
