REL 301-302 Model Features Overview

The REL 301-302 model supports 3 mho zones for phase and ground loops, a pilot zone, directional elements, phase and ground overcurrent elements, and a phase undervoltage element. It does not support zone extension, directional characteristic for the second zone phase torque control, automatic reclosing, synchronizing, breaker failure protection, out of step logic, or a directional minimum sensitivity below 0.1. When using the model, the zone 1 and 2 directional settings should only be set to "forward" to match the actual device characteristics.

REL 301-302

The REL 301-302 model supports:

- 3 mho trip zone for the phase loops and 3 mho zones for the ground loops
- A pilot zone for phase and a pilot zone for ground (available only in the ABB REL 302)
- directional element (phase, ground and negative sequence element)
- the phase overcurrent elements (3 time defined elements (Ioc))
- the ground overcurrent elements(one inverse characteristic element(Toc), 3 time defined elements (Ioc))
- a phase undervoltage element (3 phases)

Unsupported features:

- zone extension
nd
- overcurrent elements directional characteristic for the 2 zone phase torque control
- automatic reclosing and synchronizing feature
- breaker failure protection
- out of step logic
- directional minimum sensitivity in volt-amperes (a minimum sensitivity of 0.1 is present)

Data entry notes:

- inside the PF model the zone 1 and zone 2 directional setting can be forward or reverse. To be
consistent with the device characteristic only the forward setting must be used
