ABOUT PANTAI HOSPITAL PENANG

Pantai Hospital Penang (PHP) is a 200-bedded specialist hospital strategically located in the
township of Bayan Baru and in the vicinity of the Penang Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone. PHP
was established in 1997 and currently it has 34 full-time specialist doctors, 4 sessional and 4
visiting specialist doctors. The Hospital is just a 30-minute drive from the city of Georgetown, and
is equally accessible from the mainland via the Penang Bridge. With key focus on cardiology,
cardiothoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, laparoscopic surgery and orthopaedics, the
Hospital has included new services and facilities such as Urology, Extracorporeal Shock Wave
Lithotripsy and Radiotherapy (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy). PHP is accredited with the
Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) and MS ISO 9001:2008 certification.
