Sam's Transformation Journey

Sam, a 16-year-old who dresses in tracksuits and hoodies, goes shopping with her friend Lily but seems uninterested. While Lily tries on dresses, Sam browses the men's section and holds some clothes close, as if wishing to wear them. Later, Sam walks alone in the park, crying about feeling trapped in a body that is uncomfortable, and pleads with a wizard and witch she meets to help her by giving her "the greatest gift" of who she truly is. The wizard and witch agree to perform a spell to change Sam.

Outcast Script

-FADES ININT. Inside Matalan


SAM ANDERSON, 16, scruffy looking with tracksuits and a hoodie
shopping with her best friend, LILY SMITH.
SAM looking uninterested while LILY is cheerfully shopping for
dresses. LILY picks out a dress and turns towards SAM.
LILY:
(HAPPILY)
How does this look?
SAM:
(BLUNTLY)
Hmm...Yeah its OK
LILY rolls her eyes, going back to the rack of dresses while SAM
glances towards the men section of the clothes shop. SAM then starts
to walk over and softly touches the clothing picking it up and
holding it close to her heart.
SAM and LILY walks out of Matalan
EXT. Outside Shopping centre
LILY looks at her watch and realises she is running late for her
appointment.

LILY:
(SURPRISNGLY)
Oh my god, is that the time?! My appointment is in 10 minutes!
SAM:
Crap - you better get goin man!
LILY gives SAM a hug.
LILY:
See you later babe!

SAM:
Laters.

LILY rushes off. SAM and LILY go their separate ways.


EXT. Haggerston Park/forest
SAM puts her headphone in. First song playing The Greatest by Sia
while strolls through the park following the path towards the
forest.
SAM looks up seeing a hunched back figure muttering gibberish. She
then gasps with shock as she takes her headphones off.
WIZARD:
(SMILES)
Hello there, no need to be afraid.
WITCH waddles towards the WIZARD with her arms full of sticks
WITCH:
(HAPPILY)
Who do we have here?
SAM slowly walks over hesitantly looking at the WITCH and WIZARD
questionably
SAM:
(NERVOUSLY)
Im Sam
Wizard:
(SMILES)
Pretty name, for a pretty girl.
SAM starts to silently cry and then the WIZARD and WITCH walk over
to her
WIZARD:
(CONFUSED)
Are you okay?
SAM:
(SADLY)
No. I...I feel as if Im trapped in a body that Im not comfortable
with. I CANT COPE LIVING THIS LIE. Please help me by giving me the
greatest gift of who I really am.

WIZARD:
(SERIOUSLY)
Is this what you truly want? There would be no turning back
SAM:
(NODS AS SHE WIPES HER TEARS)
WIZARD and WITCH look at each other
WITCH:
(CALMLY)
Very well.
WIZARD and WITCH get the spell book and crystal ball. Hedwigs
Theme starts to play when the magic starts to happen.
