Reflection
Before I went to teaching practice I need to sit goal to I achieve it
during mu teaching practice. My goal for this teaching practice that
have better time management. My goal means the process of
organizing and planning how to divide and allocate lesson time
between specific activities. The reason for chosen this goal because in
my pervious teaching practice I had problem with allocating
appropriate time for each activity. For example, I gave students a
worksheet and thought that they would only need three minutes to
complete it, but they took 7 minutes. This can become a big problem
as it can lead me not finishing the required work in the given time. I
solved this problem by observing my MST and discussing the matter
with her. After our discussion she assisted me with my planning for my
class. This assistance rely help me and made my time management
much better. As a result of this I become more motivated to reach my
goal of managing my time better.
Even though my time management skills improved, I faced some
challenges while I was reading stories in story time section. For
example, while I was reading Gruffalo, I thought that I would finish
reading in 7 minutes but I took 15 minutes. The reason for this is that
the students were very interested in the story and so they asked me a
lot of question while I was reading and afterwards. The next day I made
sure that I gave additional time for reading. The additional time is for
asking questions and talking about the story.
My next goal will be to try to anticipate problems that children may
have difficulty with when completing tasks.
