Classroom Math Resources & Activities

Unifix cubes can be used to develop skills like counting, calculating, comparing size and ordering. Teachers can conduct activities with unifix cubes where students count the number of cubes, classify how many they have, and identify the next pattern. Students can also estimate length and measure how many cubes long or wide objects are. Pattern blocks can be used to sort by color, copy patterns, and create their own patterns. Photos can be ordered from smallest to largest or cut and pasted into a sequence to compare size and practice patterning.
