Remind them about the reword system.

Activity: whole class working with the teacher.

Each student will have a puzzle its about number 9 and has 9 different animals. I ask them to
solve it to know the new friend for our class today. After that, I ask them to count the animals
then, say the name of the animals (to integrate the lesson with science subject).
Ask students to look at the way of writing number 9 on the puzzle and start to write it in the air
and on a small board.
Read a short story for them that include all numbers that they took from 1 to 8 with a new
number (9). The story includes a short activity about counting and coloring that related to the
number 9.

Group activity

I will give each two students a small picture with ten frames. They have to count how many birds
are in the picture then, put a circle around 5 birds and take a red color to color 5 squares on ten
frames after that, count the birds that outside the circle to color other squares by using yellow
color.

MA: pairs.

I will give each two students activity card with manipulative. The activity for middle-level is about
reading and stick. They have to read the number and draw 9 circles after that apply it in a ten
frame by using a manipulative.

Comment: I dont have high- level students in my classroom.

Walking around the students and write comments about them during the activity.

Reflection WWW/EBI
The lesson is about exploring number 9. I went will during the activities. I did a lot
of activities that make students enjoy and understand number 9 in an easy way.
They become excited to solve it. Even better if I make a short review for them
about the last lesson to make them know that each number are related to other.

My next step for teaching that makes a review after starting a new lesson.
