Modal Analysis and Displacement Solutions

1) The document presents modal parameters for a 3 degree-of-freedom system including natural frequencies, mode shapes, and modal masses. 2) Displacement as a function of time is expressed in terms of modal coordinates, giving the displacement of each mass in terms of the modal displacements. 3) The modal displacements are then expressed as solutions involving the natural frequencies and mode shape coefficients, providing the complete displacement solution as a function of time for each mass.
