En Iso 15609

The document discusses several ISO standards for welding procedures and tests. EN ISO 15609 defines the information that should be included in a Welding Procedure Specification. EN ISO 15614 Part 1 involves testing welds on steel, nickel, and alloys by welding a test piece and conducting tests to ensure the weld properties are suitable. EN ISO 15614 Part 2 similarly tests welds on aluminum and its alloys. The document also lists additional parts of EN ISO 15614 that cover welding procedures and tests for other materials.

Welding Procedure Tests For The Arc Welding Of Steel,
Nickel and Nickel Alloys. This is the most familiar and widely
used method of qualifying welding procedures. It involves the
welding of a test piece representing the production weld in all
essential features. The completed test weld is then subjected to a
variety of specific tests to ensure that the properties of the weld will
be acceptable for most stringent applications
