2 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Features and Advantages
CorrOcean offers a complete range of
hydraulic access fitting assemblies for
installation of corrosion probes and
weight loss coupons. The access fittings
are designed to be used with CorrOceans
patented hydraulic retrieval tools under full
operational pressure.
The hollow and solid plugs carry the
pressure seal in the access fitting, and are
also the retrievable carrier for the
monitoring device. The hydraulic hollow
and solid plugs are of a unique design with
no external threads. The design eliminates
galling, which is a common problem with
traditional threaded plugs.
The hydraulic access fitting assembly
comprises the following components:

Hydraulic Plugs
The standard plug seal is made from PTFE
(25% glass filled). Metal seals are available
for high temperature service. Wear rings
in PTFE ensure proper sliding capabilities
of the plugs during installation and
retrieval operations.
Hollow Plug Assembly
The hollow plug assembly is a retrievable
carrier for monitoring devices such as
linear polarisation (LPR) probes, electrical
resistance (ER) probes, sand probes,
hydrogen probes, galvanic probes and
other probes or sensors that require a
cable connection.
Solid Plug Assembly
The solid plug assembly is a retrievable
carrier for monitoring devices such as
coupon holders, injection systems and
sampling equipment.

Plugs in other material qualities are delivered on request.
We strictly recommend replacing the primary packing
each time the plug is retrieved and reinstalled in the
fitting.
