Leader: Come, all who are weary and burdened. It is here that you will find rest.
People: We come, bringing our joys and sorrows, hopes and dreams to God.
Leader: Though we are different and have encountered a host of differing
circumstances, God awaits us with Gods healing touch.
People: Stress and strife, sorrow and sadness claim too much of our lives.
Leader: Come, now is the time to give to God all the brokenness
you have experienced.
People: Healing and Restoring God, touch our lives and bring us
to wholeness with you.
*Opening Prayer
Susan Painter
Holy Mystery, Protector of the faithful, glorious Spirit of wonder, Bread of
heaven, you have made us a little lower than the angels and crowned us with
glory and honor. You have called us to be your witnesses, to proclaim the
good news in good times and in bad. Sanctify us and help us see ourselves in
you, the living body of the risen Christ, broken and poured out to feed a
hungry world. Amen.
