INTRODUCTION:
Every child is innocent, pure-hearted and full of life. A child is associated with his or her
childhood; which is the most beautiful phase of a child's life. It is the time for play, study and
being oneself. A section of children get to enjoy their childhood and enjoy a family environment,
school life, studying, playing, making friends and pursuing their heart's desire. Be it the urban or
rural sector, childhood is what makes a child into a true person. In the rural areas children are
seen to help their parents in their work and have their share of fun as well. But, are all children
fortunate enough to have a happy and fun filled childhood? It is a question that we should ask
ourselves and become aware of a harsh reality - Child Labour! ,
ABSTRACT:
TOPIC:
Child labor has been an international concern because it damages, spoils and destroys the future
of children. The problem of child labor is a serious matter not only in India but also in other
developing countries. It is great social problem. Children are the hope and future of a nation. Yet,
there are millions deprived children in our country who have never known a normal, carefree
childhood. So I am going to talk about FORCED CHILD LABOUR IN MATCH BOX
INDUSTRY,
About what I am going to discuss in my project:
As well as this is so competitive world in increasing of industries and construction of buildings,
destroyation of people also increased. And there is need to more workers (labours) by more
development. So I am going to discuss about their work load and their standard of life,
And I am going to consult about ,
whether this salary is enough to statisfy their needs and improve their lifestyle or not ?
whether this work that they have pushed to do is completely statisfies them (in their vision ) or
not ?
About my suggestion or solution to them
That is why a Act was came into into existence in the year 1981 named child labour (regulation
and abolition) Act. This kind of child labour is spreaded out all over the india, so If it is a
solution first of all, we have to find out them and have to make extra schools seperately for them
to improve their skills from the basic. Because they were unable to study the basic thing and
there are so many non governmental organization (NGO) were formed to bring out those who
are being working the industries providing the shelter and study in the name of childrens home.
Now available schools are not enough to them, so there is need to make more extra educational
centres and other things about my solutions are will be explained in my project briefy.

In that article things subjected to a process of implacable exploitation characterised by low
wages, long hours of work, unclean, unhygienic, and unsafe working and living conditions and,
more importantly, denial of education which hamper their physical and mental development.
According to ILO (2002), one in every six children aged between 5 and 17 (or 246 million
children) are involved in child labour.1 Out of 246 million, about 170 million child workers were
found in different.
3. In another article author L. Mishra says In June 1998 the International Labour Conference
adopted a Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and its Follow-up that
obligates member States to respect, promote and realize freedom of association and the right to
collective bargaining, the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour, the effective
abolition of child labour, and the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and
occupation
4. In another article named The Match Industry in Sivakasi A Case Study of Technology,
Working Conditions and Self-Employment T K Moulik P and Parushotham it would not help
a worker to benefit from his contribution to the value addition in an economic activity. To do so
he needs to be able to undertake by himself all functional operations such as procuring raw
materials, finance and marketing. This is highly unlikely to happen with the individual efforts of
resource-poor workers, especially if their product is a day-to-day consumer item to be marketed
amidst severe competition. External support *in terms of finance, raw material supply,
organizational umbrella, and market assistance is crucial to them.
5. And author srivastava says that the major problem of industrial relation is that of child labour.
It is common and serious problem in the country. It ultimately affects the personality and
creativity of children. and he compared with 2001 census the estimate4d figure of working
children was 12.6 million. And now it arose to 17.02 million according to 43rd national sample
survey. So he is saying that it indicates the destroyation of chindren future in india. So we have
to do for find the termination of this work.
