WHAT DOES A GROUP FACILITATOR DO?
Pray and Care for group members.
Facilitate the group once a week.
Follow up with the Pastor or Coach to discuss progress and needs in once a
month or so in Huddle Groups with other facilitators.
Train/mentor a new leader (apprentice) from their current group.
Facilitators guide a discussion NOT have all the answers.
Facilitators are learners NOT seminary trained biblical scholars.(But they could
be)
Facilitators love listening to peoples thoughts NOT hearing themselves speak.
FACILITATORS ALSO FILL THEIR GROUPS (we help too)
In addition to a promo book with all groups listed (available August 14), facilitators
fill their groups by inviting others to participate. And encouraging those who say
yes, to invite people as well.
Consider: Inviting people you know or would like to get to know at church, work,
and in community to an informal social like a BBQ. Later invite them to your
group.
