YOUR HELP NEEDED IN WORSHIP

Traditions: they can be positive.
One traditional aspect of our times of corporate worship
is the time when our musicians lead us with preludes,
offertories and postludes. Weve seen those terms printed
in the order of worship for so many years, their meanings
may have escaped us over time.
Prelude: A piece of music, usually soft and
contemplative, which seeks to encourage the worshipper
to Be still, and know that I am God.
Offertory: Music which encourages the worshipper to
celebrate Gods goodness, and celebrate our joy in
faithful obedience (tithing).
Postlude: Music which affirms Gods mercy and grace,
and stirs Christians to actively go and serve God. Please
do your best to be seated and reverent while these
musical gifts to God are shared.

Quarterly Church Conference Wednesday, June 29

Thanks to our department and committee chairmen for
sharing what God is doing in your areas of responsibility.
It is a very healthy church that continues strongly
ministering and serving the Lord as we search for a pastor
to shepherd His flock here in Bainbridge.

SAINTS ALIVE CHOIR

Join up this Sunday night at 6:15 as we rehearse and
share one of our favorites in the Evening Worship time.
We will sing the Close to God Medley which includes
His Hand in Mine and Just a Closer Walk with Thee.

I'm A Christian Now!

Sunday Nights @ 5:30 pm

This is a Bible Study for any child age 1st-5th grade who has professed
Jesus as Savior. Baptism is not a pre-requisite. It is a great jump start
for any kiddo to learn the basics of Christian faith. The lessons do
build, but the core content can stand alone. Don't let missing one or two
deter from the entire study!
Our next meeting date is July 10th. If your child did not make it to the
initial meeting, please pick up a workbook from me for them to begin
before our next meeting.

CentriKid Parent Meeting!

July 10, 7:30pm

We will have a parent meeting for all those children attending camp.
Even if you have not already signed up, if you are interested in
attending, please come to this meeting. We will also very briefly meet
the following Sunday (July 17) before we leave for CentriKid on the
18th.

Mystery Trip!

July 13, Depart @ 8 am

Shhh, it's a secret! Contact Stacey for more info, but don't let the kiddos
know! $20 per person. We are planning to do a picnic style lunch
(Stacey will supply the basics).
Please RSVP to me via email or text if your family plans to attend. We
will be firming up our plans based on the group. Feel free to contact
me with questions!

WIRED
We had a super great time at camp last week.
Our church was one of 46 churches that
participated in WIRED 2016. Over 1500
students and leaders worked on over 95
ministry teams to serve the wiregrass area
during the day. At night we worshipped and
studied the Word together! FBC Bainbridge
represented our church and our town well.
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
Wednesday night July 13 we will meet at the
home of Glenn and Lee Ann Heard. Meet at
their house at 6:30 for a short Bible study,
supper, and swimming. Be looking out for the
schedule for the rest of Wednesday nights in
July.

Stacey

Blessings,
Jeff
