5th Brigade Combat Team Fire Support/Information Officer, 2004 – 2005 Baghdad, Iraq
• Planned, coordinated, and delivered indirect fires from artillery, helicopters, and fighter aircraft in
support of approximately 4,000 ground troops
• Analyzed enemy indirect fires against friendly troops and provided the brigade commander with
predictions of and recommendations to counter future enemy attacks
• Designed and produced information products such as billboards, flyers, and radio and television
commercials aimed at influencing Iraqi citizens to choose freedom over terrorism
• Developed command messages and press releases for consequence management in the wake of terrorist
attacks

Field Artillery Battery Commander, 2003 – 2004 Fort Hood, Texas • Baghdad, Iraq
• Responsible for the lives of 96 combat troops deployed to Baghdad, Iraq
• Supervised approximately $12 million of equipment
• Provided security of approximately 60,000 civilians in the Hateen District of Baghdad
• Served as the military advisor to the Iraqi leaders of Hateen
• Managed reconstruction efforts including schools, essential services, and quality of life projects

1st Cavalry Division Artillery Personnel Officer/Adjutant, 2001 - 2002 Fort Hood, Texas
• Served as the human resource manager of approximately 2,400 combat troops specializing in personnel
placement, strength projections and career management
• Managed a staff of 2 officers and 12 soldiers responsible for personnel management, legal actions and
records management
• Rated by the Brigade Commander as one of the top five captains of the 55 serving in the unit
MLRS Battery Platoon Leader/Executive Officer, 1997 – 2001 Fort Bragg, North Carolina
• Served as second in command of a Multiple Launch Rocket System battery consisting of 102 soldiers
and $18 million of military equipment
• Managed the unit’s combat training, multi-million dollar budget and military records
• Rated as one of the best lieutenants in the battalion
