Sixth Sunday of Easter

Mothers Day Novena

Month of Mary

Mothers Day is next Sunday, May 8, and our

Mothers Day Novena begins that day. Special
envelopes and cards are available in the vestibule if you would like to make a donation in
honor or memory of a mother. The envelopes
will be placed on the altar during the Novena.
The cards are for the living; if your mother is
deceased, please use the small envelopes only.
PLEASE PRAY for the following who are ill,
their families and those who care for them:

May has been traditionally celebrated as the month

of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
On Friday, May 13, at the 8:15 a.m. Mass, our
school students will hold a May Crowning. This date
is also the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. All are welcome to attend this Mass.
You may like to create a May altar in your home,
with a statue of Mary, a candle, holy cards with images of Mary, a rosary, and flowers.
In addition to the rosary, there are many prayers
devoted to Mary. Some well-known prayers are:
The Angelus, Hail Holy Queen, Magnificat, Hail
Mary, Memorare, and Regina Coeli. If you are not
familiar with any of these, they can easily be found
online, and also on our parish app under the Prayers
feature, along with many others.

SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

Recyclables
What are you doing with your plastic bottles and
aluminum cans? The Youth Group has been collecting them to help fund their Confirmation retreats
and their attendance at Steubenville. This is an ongoing fundraiser and has helped send youth who
would not otherwise be able to attend to experience
either of these very important events.
You can help easily by dropping off your plastic
bottles and aluminum cans at the storage container
in the gravel parking lot. The youth sort and bag
the recyclables each Sunday and an adult volunteer
transports them to the recycling center. Thank your
for your continued support.
