B1 Speaking Assessment Criteria

This document provides a rubric for assessing speaking ability at CEFR level B1, with criteria in 5 areas: fluency and coherence, lexical resource/range, grammatical range and accuracy, pronunciation, and interaction/task achievement. Scores range from 0 to 5, with 5 being the highest level of proficiency. A score of 3 indicates the speaker can usually maintain speech flow but may use repetition or slow speech, and can produce simple speech fluently but has problems with more complex communication.
