Think of yourself as a farmer.
At the end of the season, your job is to have harvested
enough crops that you can feed your family and also turn a
profit. However, you cant be harvesting year round. It just
doesnt work like that
First you must work the land- plow and sow.
This is when you are creating a plan and generating new
leads. Leads are seeds.
Then you must nurture those seeds. Give them the right
balance of sun and food and water so they may grow.
When you have nurtured those leads enough, educated them
and created a comfortable atmosphere for them,
you can convert them to customers.
You can harvest the fruit.
Then you must let the land recover. If you turn around and try
try to grow the same seeds. The soil wont be as rich.
Sometimes you need to rotate your crops- so to speak.
Bringing in a new type of clientele.
Goals must change with the seasons.
Those who only plant seeds, will find little fruit.
Those who only harvest and consume,
will quickly find a bare basket.
