Planning and Urban Infrastructure Development, Transportation Network Analysis, Landslide Analysis, Housing, Sanitation, Power, Disposal of Effluents, Urban
Growth, Irrigation Project Design and Planning, New
Road Alignment, Exploration and Management through
Rainwater Harvesting, Identification and Management
of Drinking Water Potential, Ground Water Potential
Zoning and Irrigational Network Planning and Tourism,
etc.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Civil Engineering Department set up in
2004, has UG and PG Programmes with an intake of 120 students for UG and 24 students for
PG. The department has 24 faculty belonging to
various disciplines in the Civil Engineering field.
We have memberships of Institution of Engineers (IE) and Indian Concrete Institute (ICI)
and also have an MOU with FE Designs for consultancy services. We are in the process of getting a project from Neyveli Lignite Corporation
Limited (NLC). We are also doing projects for
Virtual Academy of Ancient Knowledge Systems
(VAAK).
The Department of Civil Engineering is conducting the
2 day workshop on Applications of Remote Sensing &
GIS in Civil Engineering to highlight the importance of
using the latest technologies and bridging the
knowledge gap through a series of lectures and handson training sessions delivered by eminent professionals.
