Sexually Violent Predator's Placement


Hearing Date January 22, 2016

The hearing date for the proposed placement of Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Ural Davis will be
held:
January 22, 2016

On December 16, 2015 the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) proposed placement of Ural
Davis at 45612 Old Highway 80, Jacumba Hot Springs, CA 91934. Selection of the proposed
placement location is the sole responsibility of DSH and the San Diego County Superior Court.

However, under Welfare & Institutions Code section 6609.1, the public is permitted to comment
on the proposed location before it is finalized by the Court.
Jacumba Hot Springs, California is an unincorporated community in the Mountain Empire area of
southeastern San Diego County. As of 2014, Jacumba Hot Springs has a population of 860. The
property of interest is located within the San Diego Sheriff Departments jurisdiction, particularly
the Pine Valley Sheriff's Substation. This substation is manned by resident deputies who live and
work in the area.
With the court hearing scheduled for January 22, 2016, the San Diego Sexual Assault Felony
Enforcement (SAFE) Task Force will be accepting public comments about the proposed placement
to be included in the formal response to the Court.
The Sheriff's Department or SAFE Task Force is not responsible for the selection of the proposed
site. The selection process is the sole responsibility of the Department of State Hospitals and San
Diego Superior Court.

accepted between the dates of December 16, 2015 and December 22, 2015. These comments will
be forwarded to DSH and to the Superior Court before the Hearing on this matter. Public
comment will also be accepted at the hearing.
