Location Notes

The location where we have decided to set our production is in school. We


have based the location in school as both girls attend school, for the first
scene both characters would be attending a workshop at their school.

Before they enter the school building they enter the school main gates
where there is a doll located near the grass area. Abbey the young girl
sees the doll and gets distracted and looks back continuously. We have
used the main school gates for the scene to show where the production
scenes have been taken and to emphasise that both characters are school
students, also the main school gates show the sign of the school which
also shows where the production is set.
Both characters enter the school building walking towards the workshop
through the narrow corridors, but while they are walking to together
Abbey lose her sister and trys calling out for her sister. We have chosen
this corridor as it has low key lighting that would build the tension of the
older sister Samantha going missing.
The next scene is shot in the same location of the corridors but at the end
of it as a pop is now introduced. The prop that we have decided to use is a
doll which is the main cause of Abbeys older sister going missing. Abbey
looks at the doll and starts to giggle as this sound is a dietetic sound that
would be heard but would be edited to make the sound eco for a bigger
impact on the audience. We are adding the effect to the scene to show
how isolated the area is without Abbey being with her sister Samantha.
The next scene is then filmed at the end of the corridor where the doll is
sitting. Abbey decides to pick the doll up and hug it against her chest as a
source of comfort as she is sacred and frightened. We have used the end
if the corridor as it is located in an area where no one would be and would
be very isolated to show the loneliness of Abbey without her sister.
The next location would be taken at the schools exit to show Abbey trying
to run out the school as she is scared.
