PRESCHOOL NEWS
October is always packed full of
activities at the preschool. We started the
month with our annual Trike-a-Thon to
benefit St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
The preschool families raised $1,500 for the
children at St. Judes. It was also a chance for
to continue our teaching about safety as the
children rode around the track with helmets on.
us
Fall and winter will be our themes for the month.
The children
are learning about fruits and vegetables that farmers
harvest in the fall. We
looked at the changing of the seasons and used leaves in science and art activities. The
kids love learning about the changing of the leaves.
An easy way to support our school is to clip and save Box Tops and Labels for
Education UPC barcodes. Caps from Pace, Prego and V-8 jars also count. There's a
collection drawer near the water fountain. Thank you!
During chapel time the children are learning about Moses. Moses led the
Isrealites out of Egypt and received the Ten Commandments in our Bible journey at
chapel time. We learned about Joshuas battle at Jericho, Davids conquering of Goliath
and the story of Elijah.
Parent-Teacher conferences were held on October 22 & 23.
We are conducting hearing, speech and language test for all Concordia Lutheran
students.
We end the month with our Harvest Costume Festival. It will be lots of fun with games,
art projects and treats for all the kids.
Please remember NO NUTS are allowed in the preschool/Sunday school area, because
we have children that are really allergic to them. Thank you for you help with this.
