Phonics/Reading Workshop
Miss Bird is running a workshop for all
Reception class parents and volunteer
helpers in school on Wednesday 25th
November from 2.45pm to 3.10pm.
Packed Lunches/School Dinners
If your child normally has packed
lunches but requires a school dinner on
a particular day, please let the office
know in advance or, at the very latest,
by 9.30am on the day. Numbers are
submitted to the kitchen on a daily
basis; changes must be notified or
dinners will not be ordered.
1st Cottam Beaver Scouts
every Thursday at Cottam
Community Centre from 6.00pm to
7.00pm.

A reminder to parents that the
school has a responsibility to
keep children safe from harm
and protect them from danger.
We will contact you if we have
any concerns about your childs
safety or well-being and, if
necessary, we will not hesitate to
refer the matter to Childrens
Social Care. Mrs Gregory is the
designated senior person (DSP) in
charge of Child Protection and
Safeguarding. Our Child

Rugby World Cup.
We have also discussed in assembly
today, staying safe on bonfire night.

This week Socrates is asking Year 4

unsafe or worried in school?
Will your child be starting school in
September 2016?
If so, please let us know so that we can send you
details of Open Days and details about admission.
Please do not assume that we know about your child
and remember that you will have to apply in the
same manner as for non-siblings.
PTFA Fundraising Evening

This is a new and exciting event organised by the PTFA to raise funds for our school. The date is Friday 13th
November 2015 at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club starting at 7.00pm for 7.30pm Dinner.
Tables of 8/10 are available. Tickets are priced at 25 (cheques payable to Harris PTA). School will keep a
list of individuals/couples to make up tables.
Sports Clubs
There will be no Football Club now
until further notice due to upcoming
tournaments and fading light!
Reception Class Photographs will be appearing in the
Lancashire Evening Post on Thursday 5 th November. If you would
like to order a copy of the photograph, please telephone

through school this year.
