EXT. POLICE STATION.
DAY
LUKE is walking out of the police station. He is wearing dark
clothing. He walks a little down the path and pulls his hood up.
LUKE
(voice over)
Im out now, and Im not going back. Im ready to move on and make
something of myself.
LUKE gets out his phone and reads a previous text from SIAN.
The previous message from SIAN is visible and reads so happy ur
home soon x. LUKE smiles and texts SIAN back.
INT. SIANS BEDROOM. DAY.
SIAN and DAVID are in her bedroom. Their clothes are on the floor
and a photograph of her and LUKE falls to the floor. The text from
LUKE comes through to SIANS phone and reads Missed u so much x.
INT. THE GLOBE PUB, LUTON. DAY
LUKES family, DIANE, PHIL and CHARLIE are in the pub. CHARLIES
secret girlfriend is also there. They are sitting around a table and
stand up as LUKE approaches. They all speak at once, talking over
each other.
PHIL
What you drinkin son?
Behind LUKE and DIANE, CHARLIE is walking away from the group with
her friend.
LUKE
You know what Dad, rounds on me!
PHIL raises his glass with DIANE, LUKE stands watching on.
INT. THE GLOBE, TOILETS. DAY
DIANE walks into the pub toilets and hears kissing. She looks
shocked and worried as she walks toward the cubicle and pushes the
door open. CHARLIE and her girlfriend are inside kissing. CHARLIE
pushes the girl away.
DIANE
(Gasp)
CHARLIE
Mum!
EXT. BUXTON ROAD. DAY
LUKE is walking down Buxton road when he sees a group of boys
sitting on the wall they are being impolite shouting things and
spitting.
BOY 1
(Voice over)
You got any on ya then?
LUKE starts to walk faster down the road, BOY 1 grabs LUKES coat as
LUKE starts to run, BOY 1 chases him.
EXT. BUXTON ROAD. ALLEY. DAY.
LUKE runs through the alley away from the gang of BOYS chasing him.
INT. BETHS HOUSE. DAY
SIAN and DAVID are in her bedroom
DAVID
I love you. It can be just me and you.
DAVID looks at SIAN tenderly and touches her arm.
SIAN
SIAN aggressively stands up, taking her arm away from his.
DAVID punches the wall as SIAN walks away. DAVID curses.
INT. GEORGINAS FRONT ROOM. DAY
DIANE AND PHIL are having a discussion in the front room.
PHIL
Whats wrong with you?
DIANE
(ANGRY)
Shes GAY
DIANE AND CHARLIE are in the front room having a heated discussion.
DIANE
(Voiceover)
You disgust me
DIANE slaps CHARLIE.
INT. GEORGINAS BATHROOM. DAY
SIAN
(Voiceover)
You promised, you were done.
SIAN is in the bathroom and is picking up some clothes; she picks up
his clothes and notices that there are drugs inside.
EXT. MANSHEAD SCHOOL. DAY
CHARLIE is putting books in her locker. Her girlfriend approaches
her, putting her hands around her waist. A group of girls shove into
the locker. CHARLIE drops her bag and falls to the floor. The group
of girls shout in unison.
GIRL 1
Dykes
GIRL 2
Er, gays.
INT. GEORGINAS BATHROOM. DAY
SIAN is sitting on the side of the bathtub holding a pregnancy test
in her hand. She is crying.
INT. GEORGINAS FLAT. STAIRCASE. DAY
SIAN is standing outside of her door talking to DAVID (David is not
shown in the camera shot)
SIAN pushes him down the stairs and she then stands there in shock
at what shes just done.
SIAN
(Voiceover)
The ringing sound of the phone call is audible. The audio clip is
manipulated to sound like shes on the other end of the phone call.
(Shallow breathing and sniffling)
Ive done a really bad thing
SIAN puts a hand over her face and runs the other through her hair.
She leans against a wall and slides down it, crying.
