SCOPE OF PROJECT: The plant designed to treat 80,000 cubic metres of sewage waste water per
day, will meet the projected demand up to the year 2030 in the region. The plant utilises special
technology known as Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) process and ultra-filtration. The process
selection was done based on available processes in the international market. The main Sewage
Treatment Plant (STP) unit will be located at Seeb, about 45km from Muscat, and will also have main
pumping stations and storage facilities for treated effluents. The STP will be designed to have
odourless treated water output which will be mainly used for irrigation purposes.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Responsible for Implementation of Civil & Structural scope of project from end to end
basis . ie Conceptualization to Commissioning .
Responsible for Civil , Structural , Architectural Component Specifications , Selection ,
Detail design , Installation , Testing & Successful Commissioning .
Responsible for Implementation of Fire Protection & Building Facility management
services in project.
Checking design’s formulated by Engineering Consultants & provide Value Engineering

SCOPE OF PROJECT: The approximately OMR 350 million total project cost, is designed to
produce 3000 metric tons per day methanol. It will also include other related utilities such as a captive
power generation, water desalination units and a waste water treatment plant to make SMC self-
sufficient and environmentally friendly, as well the export facilities. The feedstock for the plant is
natural gas which will be supplied by the Ministry of Oil and Gas through the existing pipeline that is
already operational, owned and operated by Oman Gas Company SAOC.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
To ensure adherence to construction QA/QC and safety
To ensure EPC Contractor’s design basis, specification, standard and drawings are complying
with local authorities and international code and standard requirement
To review daily logs and reports of inspections made, tests performed and work executed
To inspect the construction of temporary and permanent work.
To review the shop drawings and submittals
To review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples
To assist with the inspection of completed work, testing, commissioning and handover of work
