IBPS RRB Cut off 2015 would be decided by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to
delimit the number of candidates eligible for the next round of recruitment on the post of Officers
and Office Assistants in various Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) of India. In this way, it would pick the
best lot of candidates and reject the rest. Cutoff is an important decisive factor which plays a great
role till the final recruitment list is issued. In this article, we have compiled various details about

What is Cutoff?
Cut-off can be precisely defined as the benchmark of minimum marks to pick the most deserving
candidates for next round of recruitment. If a candidate scores marks equal to or more than cutoff, he
would be termed pass and eligible to take part in interview process, which would be held by
participating organizations, individually. Such candidates would be able to fill the challan and
register themselves for the interview process. Cutoff is basically a parameter to make sure that only
top candidates are recruited with the banks. It is primarily decided by IBPS based on various factors
which are described below in this article.

Among the numerous factors which are implemented to decide the cutoff, some of them are listed

Result and Importance of Cutoff
Cutoff is important in several ways and it is usually implemented in three stages individual
subjects, total aggregate (at IBPS level) and final cumulative score (at RRB level). To be qualified for
interviews and called as pass, a candidate has to clear the first two cutoffs. He must score at least the
minimum marks prescribed for each section of the exam and then the total aggregate IBPS RRB 2015
Cut off Score. If a candidate fails to score the total cutoff despite clearing the sectional cutoff in each
subject, he would be rejected. Third type of cutoff will be issued and applied by the respective RRBs.
Thru this cutoff; they will prepare the final merit list for recruitment, based on the score in CWE and
interview. Candidates are suggested to have a look at the previous year stats of cutoff to have an
idea of the ideal attempts they must make in the CWE. It would help them to know how many
attempts must be made so as to clear the cutoff. There would be a deviation of 10-15 marks (approx)
from last years total cutoff of 2nd stage.
