Anderson County June 2015 Crime Report

The monthly crime report from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office shows that in June 2015: - Violent crimes such as murder, rape and assault were up slightly from the previous month but down from the same period last year. Property crimes such as burglary, theft and arson were down slightly from both the previous month and same period last year. - The highest property crimes were burglary (133 incidents) and motor vehicle theft (58 incidents). For violent crimes, aggravated assault (46 incidents) was highest. - The crime rate per 1,000 population was 3.27 for total index crimes in the county compared to 5.46 in Heritage Trace.
