QC Supervisor
Job Description
The Quality Control Supervisor ensures that all quality control processes and activities related to
the compliance with applicable regulatory requirements are properly conducted; conducts audits
and reviews/analyzes data and documentation; manages personnel scheduling and performs at
the highest levels of accuracy his responsibilities to maximize efficiency, internal and external
quality performance, and to minimize the cost of quality. Manages quality controls,
administration of quality control procedures for Final Audit Inspection, Incoming Inspection,
Record Retention and any other procedures that are part of the Quality Management System that
falls under his responsibility. Manages RMA-s ensuring that they are properly and timely
processed as received from external customer, initial validation and analysis to be performed per
standard procedures.
- This position has full responsibility and accountability to act and make decisions in the
respective job duties.
- Provides periodic reports to Management on the effectiveness of the quality program
- Coordinates the daily activities of QC personnel
- Coordinates the daily activities of QC Auditors
- Implements inspection criteria and testing according to standards
- Study and standardize Quality Control Area work practices to improve quality and efficiencies
of subordinates.
- Helps resolve quality related issues on material rejected by QC with other departments.
- Provides continuous training to ensure that all subordinates are properly cross trained.
- Review records for accuracy of information, compliance with established procedures.
- Reviews daily paperwork to assure all customer requirements and quality standards have been
met and maintained.
- Promotes continuity of work completion through cooperation and communication within as
well as with other departments.
- Support the performance of internal audits and any necessary corrective action to follow up.
- Ensuring that process audit (including dock audits) are timely performed and data collected to
drive improvements based on findings.
- Encourage the development, review and update of the procedures that are part of the QMS and
document the activities that are under his responsibility.
- Recommend and participate in disciplinary activities of subordinates.
- Maintain testing equipment and supplies needed for the department.
- Oversees daily activities to ensure compliance to procedures, standards and internal and
external customer expectations.
- Maintain and ensure adherence to all safety standards
- Ensure that the RMA-s are properly and timely processed, ensuring that the initial validation
and analysis of the parts as returned from the customer is done and passed onto the
corresponding team for completion of the final report.
