PARISH YOUTH MINISTRY
A. Short Term Plan
1. Provide intensive seminars and formation to youth members to
prepare them for the Long term plan. This will also strengthen the
foundation of the personality and faith of the youth members and
leaders to prepare them for future plans and activities.

E. Accepting Individual Differences
2. Change the format of core group meeting. This is done to encourage
officers to see the blessings, reflect, share and pray for one another.

D. Prayer-Over
E. Closing Prayer
3. To cancel PYD for the year and allocate the budget to different
formation and seminars.
B. Long Term Plan
1. Change the format of the organizational chart. See Attached File.
A. Over-All Coordinator: In-charge of overseeing the whole PYM
and that each ministry is doing the assigned task to them.
B. Assistant Coordinator for External Affairs: Person assigned to
coordinate and attend meetings outside the parish like Diocese and
Vicariate Meeting.
C. Assistant Coordinator for Internal Affairs: Person assigned to
assist the over-all coordinator in managing the PYM.
Sub-Ministries:
A. Registration and Members Resource Management: Ministry incharge in gathering and maintaining data of members. They are
also assigned to get attendance during meetings and formations.
B. Documentation and Media Ministry: Ministry in-charge for
gathering information during meetings and formation. Task includes,
taking pictures, taking notes of the meeting and formation, providing
minutes of the previous meeting. Also thinks, conceptualize and create
promotions of PYM activities.
C. Worship Ministry: Assigned to provide worship songs and
music during meetings and formation. Also manage liturgical
celebrations and other activities related to prayer.
D. Animation Ministry: Ministry assigned to provide animation
during meetings, formation, youth or parish activities. They are also
expected to create a new animation to be used for gatherings and to
keep record of current animations.
E. Logistic Ministry: Assigned to organize and prepare halls and
venue for PYM gatherings.
F. Public Relation Ministry: Handles the actual promotion of PYM
activities to both members and non-members. They are the one who
talks to other ministries, organizations, and persons within the parish
for the PYM and Parish activities. Includes reserving of halls,
coordinating with other ministries (MAS,L/C,EMHC,Legion of Mary,etc.).
Assist in decoration if needed during meetings if needed. Also follow up
on PYM members if there is an upcoming meeting.
G. Chapel Coordinators- This is Person in-charge in handling
members in the sub-parishes. Organise and meets with the members
in the sub-parishes weekly. Represents the over-all coordinator in the
sub-parish meetings.
H. Formation and Education Meeting: Ministry assigned to think
and organize formation and seminars for PYM. Also assigned to think
and conceptualize topic for the youform. This is also the ministry
assigned in getting speakers for upcoming events. Assigned in
overseeing all meetings and formation specially Youform and YE.
4. Assign a qualified chapel head. Chapel head will be responsible in
taking care and pastoring the members in the sub-parishes. He/she is
delegated to make sure that members in his/her chapel are well
informed of the PYM activities and to know the status of each member.
He/she is assigned to lead a weekly prayer meeting of members.
5. A weekly prayer meeting held in each chapels. This is to be headed
by the chapel coordinator. All members in the chapels will gather after
the mass to have a HAPPY moments together and build a better
relationship with each other. This is also a moment to reflect about the
Gospel and homily.

6. Youform will be reduced to once a month. With weekly prayer
meeting happening in the chapel, PYM can focus on providing a much
better YOUFORM once a month. This includes full band(if possible),
animations, and other activities.
7. A quarterly seminar or formation for the leaders of PYM and other
youth ministries like MAS should be planned.
8. Identify ministries and organizations that has a youth member so
that we can provide necessary formation and seminars for youth
members or leaders.
9. A general assembly should be done and members are requested to
sign a servants form on what ministry they like to get involve
depending on their skills and interest. Members will be assigned to
their choosen ministry to assist the Ministry head in performing the
task assigned to their ministry. Members can choose more than 1 as
long as they can perform the responsibility and attend meetings of
both ministry. In case of conflict, they need to choose their priority.
10. A coordinator for each ministry should be voted within the group
except for the formation and education ministry which will be
automatically handled by the over-all coordinator.
Others:
1. For those who wants to be a speaker and signed up for formation
ministry: The over-all coordinator will assign one of its member with a
topic and then he/she needs to create a talk and activity to be
presented in front of the core group. He/she needs to be open for
creative criticism and suggestions. The coordinator will then identify
who are ready to speak in-front of meetings and formations.
