INSTRUMENTATION FOR ENERGY SYSTEM
PV SYSTEM DESIGN
Design a PV system for the following requirement:
A house with three bedrooms, two bath rooms, a kitchen and a lounge. In
each bed room there is a 20 W fluorescent lamp and a 60 W fan. In each bath
room there is a 20 W fluorescent lamp .In the kitchen, there is a 40 W
fluorescent lamp, a 150 W refrigerator and a 15 Amp power point for a kettle
or a rice cooker or a toaster when required. In the lounge there are two 20 W
fluorescent lamps, a 60 W fan and 120 W Television. All the equipment runs
on 240V AC.
The water for the house is pumped from a well using a DC pump Water is
pumped from the well into a storage tank placed on the roof. The total head
is 10 m .The pumping rate is 50 liters per minute.
