FROM THE PASTOR
REWIRED TO SOAR
First, Seek God And I dont mean seek Him only in a moment of crisis. Our
daily prayer should be, Lord, lead me into deeper and deeper knowledge of
who You are so I can soar higher and higher when the need arises. The
Psalmist declared that it was seeking God that gave him peace in his life
(Psalm 73: 16-17).
Second, Obey God If God says, Im leading you into this new test or
opportunity or circumstance, that is His way of saying, You need to trust Me
(obey Me) in this. Instead of saying, Lord, I dont think Im ready for this,
practice now saying, Lord, I yield my understanding to yours; I will trust You to
see me through.
Third, Acknowledge Acknowledge everything that is true. Jesus our
Advocate, knows everything we feel and can represent us faithfully before the
Father (Hebrews 2: 18; 4:15). Admitting fear and apprehension is no sin. What
is sin is elevating our weakness above Gods strength. Talk to God. Just
remember to give His promises higher priority than your fears.
Fourth, Respond to God All the prayer and preparation is for that moment
when you have to step out in faith and face the spiritual and emotional
obstacleswe either do it or we dont!
Start Soaring today: seek, obey, acknowledge, and respond. Start

hallmarks of Gods people. It is a unique quality of
character often confused with happiness.
Joy and happiness are not the same. Each
springs from a totally different source.
Happiness comes from the world around me. Joy
originates directly with the Spirit of the Living God.
