Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby is an American comedian, actor, author, television producer, educator, musician and activist born in 1937. He got his start as a stand-up comedian in the 1960s and later starred in his own sitcom, The Bill Cosby Show. He was also involved in the children's television series The Electric Company. Cosby created the educational cartoon comedy series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. In the 1980s, The Cosby Show became a hugely popular sitcom about an upper-middle class African American family. Though hugely successful, Cosby has faced numerous accusations of sexual assault from women dating back to the 1970s and allegations of misconduct were largely forgotten until recently.
