TAKE OFF BRIEFING QATAR (PF desde la derecha)

Today I am the pilot flying and you are the pilot monitoring. We are going to take off from RWY 27R of LondonHeathrow, which is dry (or wet), so good breaking action, with flap 2, Flexible thrust with EPR of ____, ATOW of
180000kg (we are not overweight), Packs on/off, Weather good/bad (check use it for landing or look for alternative),
Stabilizer ____ and our V1, VR and V2 for today are 130, 135 and 140.

Normal Take-off:
Once all set and all checklists performed, I will set 50% thrust and once stabilized I will set FLEX and time and I will
call Check Thrust and then you will call Thrust Check. When 80 kts you call Eighty and Ill check my airspeed
and all parameters stabilized and call check. Then you call V1 and VR. Ill rotate and when positive, you call it
(positive climb) and Ill call for Gear up, and then you please gear up. Ill maintain initially 15 and between V2
and V2+10 until 1000(thrust reduction altitude) and Ill call for set climb thrust; (lo pone l, yo quito la mano).
At 1500 (acceleration altitude) I will call set 210 speed. I will reduce pitch to more or less 10. On passing or above
F speed, I will call flaps 1. On passing S speed I will call Flap up and AFTER TAKE OFF LIST. Then we
continue climbing to our final altitude or flight level, changing our QNH when corresponding and when 1000to the
assigned altitude you will call one to go (remember call established).

In case of failure:
Whoever sees failure, call it.

Between 0 and 80 we reject whichever the failure.

Between 80 and V1 we reject only in case of engine fire/failure, or controls failure.

In both cases, well say STOP or REJECT and I will set Thrust idle, braking action and reverses.
You will silence bell if necessary, check reverses green and spoilers deployed and if they are not deployed them
then deploy them manually. You call 80 and 60 and then
I will call you have controls and once stopped you set parking brake and call cabin crew at your stations.
I will call the ATC: Mayday mayday mayday, London TWR, Qatar 123 stopping on the RWY, standby for
intentions.
Then we both assess the situation (what do we have) and take appropriate actions.
If we have to evacuate you call for the checklist, I will call ATC and tell them we are going to evacuate and if
necessary require fire fighters and ambulance; if we have to evacuate you will call the senior EVACUATE,
EVACUATE. And if you didnt, then tell them to REMAIN SEATED otherwise, we continue taxi to the apron
and call maintenance, operations.

AT OR ABOVE V1:

At or above V1, Ill set Maximum Thrust (TOGA) and will rotate maintaining more or less 12 so we can maintain
V2-V2+10
When positive you call positive climb and I will call for gear up
No other actions until 400 AGL
After that I will ask WHAT DO WE HAVE/WHAT HAPPENED and will call for MEMORY ITEMS, RWY Heading
and please silence bell if necessary.
If possible we set autoflight and 7700 on the transponder.
Now Ill say I have controls and communications you perform the emergency check list.
MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY LONDON TWR QATAR123 APU

Cabin crew we have APU fire, be ready for evacuation

Agree now, in case we have a fire, we request vectors for landing checking overweight and weather and
performing the emergency checklist and the after takeoff checklist.
If it is not a fire, the request a holding so we can assess the situation and perform the emergency checklist and the
after takeoff checklist. Contact also cabin crew for what happened and intentions.
At 1500set speed 210 and retract flaps according to their speed.
