man military power, the nation would declare, You made us do it. Tat day is getting nearer.
A month ago, [Link] reported that Josef Braml, a scientic adviser to
the Us./Transatlantic Relations Program at the German Council on Foreign Relations (uu.v),
writes in a recently published analysis that, since :oo8, the nancial and economic crisis has hit
the Us. very hard. Because the U.S. is forced to adopt sti austerity measures to
confront the crisis, Braml predicts that Washington, to ease
the strain on its budget, will pressure Berlin to increase its
participation in Western global military interventions
(February :o; emphasis added).
Such a scenario ts exactly with Herbert Arm-
strongs prediction. As a massively debt-bound U.S.
continues to draw down its troop presence within Europe
and the Middle East, it is inevitable that another power
will ll the security and defense gap within those
regions. Te only nation within reasonable proxim-
ity to the Middle East possessing the industrial and
economic might to do so is Germany.
German elites have anticipated this for some
time. Yet they still have the problem of public
opinion at home to contend with. As we report
in the May/June edition of the Trumpet maga-
zine, German elites have mounted signicant
public relations initiatives to inuence the
minds of the masses to support the future
projection of German power in a manner
that bets its newfound world power status.
In the meantime, German military
and defense elites are moving to carefully
develop their strategy of moving south
into northern Africa and east into the
Middle East to consolidate control over
their much-needed energy supplies.

America Rolls Out
Welcome Mat for
Hamas and Muslim
Brotherhood
CLARION FUND | April 2
D
isvi1i 1ui fact that Hamas is
an illegal terrorist entity since
:, in the United States, the parent
organization of Hamas, the Muslim
Brotherhood, has been invited to one
of Americas top universities.
On April , an ocial delegation of
the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and
its Freedom and Justice Partya major
winner in Egypts recent parliamentary
electionwill be visiting Georgetown
University in Washington, u.c. Te del-
egation comes at the behest of the Saudi-
funded Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for
Muslim-Christian Understanding.
Providing aid to Hamas in America
is a crime punishable by a long-term
prison sentence .
Te delegation is expected to meet
with U.S. government ocials as well.
Georgetown, which had originally
sent out an invitation with the Muslim
Brotherhoods name on it, changed
the text and sent out a new version
when they realized their error; howev-
er, the change was strictly cosmetic, as
there is no functional or philosophical
dierence between the Brotherhood
and its political party.
Hamas has openly declared that it
is a branch of the Muslim Brother-
hoodPalestine, and in fact was
created as a Brotherhood oshoot.
Investigative Project for Terror-
ism reports that just like the Muslim
Brotherhood, the Freedom and Justice
Party says one thing in English and
another in Arabic. It has learned to
mouth politically correct platitudes to
Westerners while saving its true ideo-
logical diatribes for Egyptians.
According to the partys website
last summer the party advocates
I
Euvv1s upcoming presidential election, there are three
main contenders.
One is a septuagenarian dinosaur who served a decade
as foreign minister in Hosni Mubaraks dictatorship.
Another was quoted in :oo by Ikhwanonlinethe
website of the Muslim Brotherhoodcalling for Arab and
Muslim peoples to prepare for Jihad, and boycott all forms
of dealing with the Zionist-American enemy and the states
that support it.
And then theres the third guy, whos the real hardliner.
Welcome to Arab democracy, post-Arab Spring. Tat
third guy is Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, a telegenic Salast
who admires Iran, wants to abolish the peace treaty with
Israel, end trade with the West, and have women work at
home. Te Weekly Standard carried an instructive piece
about him in September, warning that he had a good shot at
winning the presidency. On Sunday, the New York Times got
around to taking note of him, too, apparently since the State
Department has also come around to thinking he could win.
Which brings us back around to candidate No. :.
Hes Khairat Al Shater, a multimillionaire businessman
who was the Muslim Brother-
hoods deputy head and de facto
cvo . Tough the Brotherhood
had pledged not to eld a candi-
date, its doing so anyway out of
frustration with the reluctance
of Egypts military rulers to
cede eective power more quickly. And thats okay with the
Obama administration, partly as a hedge against a possible
Abu Ismail victory, partly because theyre okay with him.
Mr. Shater, the Times reports, is in regular contact with
the American ambassador and United States ocials
have praised his moderation as well as his intelligence and
eectiveness.
About Mr. Shaters intelligence and eectiveness, theres
little debate. But moderation is another matter.
So, on the subject of negotiating with Israel, he called
it mindless: Te only way to deal with the Jewish state,
he insisted, is jihad. He faulted the enemies of Islam
for trying to distort and remove [jihad] from the hearts
and minds and souls of Muslims. He blasted the U.S. for
preventing the Islamic nation in its entirety from elimi-
nating the usurper Zionist enemy.
Ten theres Mr. Shaters ideas about governance in gen-
eral . Restoring Islam in its all-encompassing concep-
tion; subjugating people to God; instituting the religion of
God; the Islamization of life. His notion of an ideal citizen
is a cadre: Every individual in the Society should be . . . a
walking Quran.
What Mr. Shater is advocating, in other words, is the
creation of exible democratic political structures within the
rigid framework of a quasi-totalitarian society. And like all to-
talitarian visions, it even comes with
its own Guardians of Virtue: Te
Revolution, he says, needs to be-
come perpetual, with a core group
of : or : million to safeguard the
revolution from its enemies. In the old Soviet Union, that job
was done by the xuv. In Iran today, its the ivuc.
Is this vision of a regime really compatible with Ameri-
can values and interests: People in the Obama administra-
tion seem to think so. Hang on, wasnt there a third candi-
date: Amr Moussa, dinosaur, is looking better all the time.

Egypt Brotherhood:
Sharia Is Main Goal
REUTERS | April 5
T
ui MUsiim Brotherhoods candi-
date for the Egyptian presidency,
Khairat al-Shater, declared that intro-
ducing sharia law would be his rst
and nal objective if he wins elec-
tions in May and June.
Making his rst reported state-
ments since the Brotherhoods surprise
decision to eld him in the elections,
Shater also promised to reform the
Interior Ministry which long played a
leading role in suppressing dissent.
Sharia was and will always be my
rst and nal project and objective,
Shater was quoted on Wednesday as
telling a meeting of the Religious As-
sociation for Rights and Reforma
group of which he is a member, along
with gures who belong to the hard-
line Sala school of Islam.
In comments reported in a statement
issued by the Association, Shater told
the meeting held on Tuesday night that
he would establish a special entity to
help parliament achieve this objective.
Te Brotherhoods reversal of its
promise not to contest the elections
has drawn criticism from inside
and outside the group, whose party
controls the biggest bloc in parliament
and which dominates an assembly
that is drawing up the constitution.
Te constitution is due to be writ-
ten by the :oo-member assembly of
politicians and public gures over the
next six months. However, dozens
of non-Islamist representatives have
walked out, complaining that their
voices are being drowned out.

n Iran and Turkey argue over Syria
Te leaders of Iran and Turkey have
exchanged sharply opposing views
on how to deal with the crisis in Syria.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah
Ali Khamenei said March : that he
strongly supports Syrian President
Bashar al-Assads plan for reform.
However, Turkeys prime minister, Re-
cep Tayyip Erdoan, said Assad cannot
be trusted and must step down. Tis
unusual public disagreement between
the two neighbors came on the second
day of a state visit by Erdoan to Iran.
Iran is Syrias closest ally, and Tehran
has staunchly backed Assad through-
out Syrias year-long uprising. On Sun-
day, Turkey will host about oo coun-
tries in a Friends of the Syrian People
conference in Istanbul. Te partici-
pants, including the United States, plan
to discuss ways to support Assads
opposition, isolate him, and pressure
him to step down. Although its hard to
know whether this conference will be
successful, the Trumpet believes, based
on Bible prophecy, that the Iranian-
Syrian alliance will soon end.
n Tunisian Islamists decline to
endorse sharia
Te ruling Islamist party of Tunisia,
the rst victor of the Arab Spring,
has declined to endorse sharia law as
the principal source of legislation for
Tunisia. On March :,, Rachid Gan-
nouchi, the head of Ennahda, the larg-
est party in Tunisias governing coali-
tion, said the party would not amend
Article One of the constitution, which
states, Tunisia is a free, independent
and sovereign state and Islam is its
religion, Arabic its language and the
Republic its political regime. Gannou-
chi cited the fact that Islamic law has
caused a rif in Tunisian society as the
reason for the move. Courcys Intelli-
gence Brief points out that this position
is in line with wider Muslim Broth-
erhood policy in Egypt, Syria and
elsewhere. References to the gradual
implementation of sharia can be found
throughout MB literature. According
to the MBs philosophy, Islamization
should come from community-based
and social work (April ). Last No-
vember, a provincial leader of the MBs
Freedom and Justice Party in Egypt
summed up the policy by saying:
Sharia law cannot be implemented in
one go. It will be implemented over
periods of time that could be as long as
:, years, until people can welcome it.

DER SPIEGEL | April 2
T
ui Givm. government has long
argued that strict scal discipline
is the only way out of the euro cri-
sis. Now, German Finance Minister
Wolfgang Schuble has come up with
a new idea for keeping countries on
the path of virtue. Schuble plans
to propose creating independent
panels of experts at both the national
and EU level, who would monitor s-
cal policies in the member states, the
eurozone and the EU as a whole. Tey
would be responsible for sounding a
warning if they see governments bud-
getary policies straying o course.
Te panels, which would be com-
posed mainly of academics, would
also be charged with checking the
compatibility of national scal
policies with European and national
requirements as well as the imple-
mentation of national and European
regulations, according to the Finance
Ministry document. Tose regulations
would include the tougher EU stability

in March :o::, as well as the new s-
cal pact, which :, EU countries have
agreed to introduce.
In addition, Schubles ministry
is also proposing that the role of
the EUs economic and nance af-
fairs commissioner, a position cur-
rently held by Finlands Olli Rehn, be
strengthened in the future. According
to the ministry document, the com-
missioner should be able to implement
EU regulations without the other
commissioners or the Commission
president having the right to object.
Te treaty now has to be approved
by national parliaments, with Ger-
manys Bundestag expected to vote on
the issue in May.
A
sUvui in borrowing costs for Spain on Wednesday
unsettled nancial markets and showed that the
European debt crisis was not cured.
A decision by the European Central Bank on Wednes-
day to leave its main interest rate unchanged also reected
concerns about the broader eurozone, where the economy
was sputtering and credit was still tight.
Te Spanish debt auction came just days afer the
government of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy announced
deep budget cuts meant to reassure investors that Madrid
could meet its decit-reduction targets. Yields were
higher than in recent auctions as the government sought
to counter falling demand amid concerns about the eects
of the budget cuts on an economy that was sinking into its
second recession in three years.
Following the disappointing bond auction, Spains long-
term borrowing costs soared to their highest levels since
December .
Tere has long been a dearth of foreign buyers, so if
domestic buyers are now starting to retreat, the Spanish
treasury has a serious problem on its hands, said Nicholas
Spiro, founder of Spiro Sovereign Strategy . I think this
is the beginning of a new bout of nervousness centered
around Spain, but also possibly Italy.
Unemployment in the eurozone reached its highest level
in :, years during February, according to data published
Monday. In addition, recent surveys have shown that busi-
ness managers have grown more pessimistic and that credit
is dicult to come by, especially in countries like Spain
that have been hardest hit by the debt crisis.
Tensions in European nancial markets have cooled
in recent months afer the icv issued : trillion in cheap,
three-year loans to banks.
Te icv still seems to be prepared to keep its excep-
tional monetary policy measures in place for quite some
time, Peter Vanden Houte, an economist at Dutch bank
iu, wrote. Te dicult part will be to keep the Germans
in the governing council happy and at the same time put-
ting pressure on peripheral governments not to come back
on their promise of scal consolidation.

German Defense Minister Tomas

celebrate a veterans day, to honor its

the foundation of the Bundeswehr in

the defense minister believes that the

that is likely to occur with the new
vvics bank is the promotion of the
ve countries to conduct trade in
their own currencies, avoiding the U.S
dollar as the global reserve currency.
GoldCore explains, Te leaders of
vvics nations and other emerging
market nations have adopted the idea
of conducting trade between the ve
nations in their own currencies. Two
agreements, signed among the devel-
opment banks of Brazil, Russia, India,
China and South Africa, say that local
currency loans will be made available
for trade between these countries.
Trading in local currencies will also
allow the vvics to hedge their foreign
exchange reserves against the uncer-
tainties facing the U.S. dollar and euro.
Many countries are already hedg-
ing by purchasing gold. According to
the latest data from the World Gold
Council, central banks purchased a
net total of o tons of gold in :o::,
compared to only ,, tons in the previ-
ous year. It was the largest amount of
net purchases by central banks since
:o. Russia was a large buyer of gold,
adding around , tons in :o::. Chi-
nese ocial gold reserves numbers are
not easily obtained, but some analysts
believe the country purchased almost
,oo tons of gold last year. In :oo, the
Peoples Bank of China conrmed that
it had nearly doubled its gold reserves
since :oo, afer secretly purchas-
ing signicant amounts of the pre-
cious metal. With emerging markets
increasing the use of local currencies
and gold holdings, it is not outside the
realm of possibility that some curren-
cies may have some form of a gold peg
or standard.
Te Federal Reserves current zero
interest rate policy is hurting the green-

programs will only add insult to injury.

Political Lying Game

O
i ov the highly developed talents
of President Barack Obama is the
ability to say things that are demon-
strably false, and make them sound
not only plausible but inspiring.
Tat talent was displayed just this
week when he was asked whether he
thought the Supreme Court would
uphold ObamaCare as constitutional
or strike it down as unconstitutional.
He replied: Im condent that the
Supreme Court will not take what
would be an unprecedented, extraor-
dinary step of overturning a law that
was passed by a strong majority of a
democratically elected Congress.
But how unprecedented would
it actually be if the Supreme Court
declared a law unconstitutional if it
was passed by a strong majority of a
democratically elected Congress:
Te Supreme Court has been doing
precisely that for :o years!
Nor is it likely that Barack Obama
T
ui ouus of winning:,o million to
:were :, times worse than the odds
of picking a perfect c..-basketball-
tournament bracket. Still, the world-
record-shattering so,o million jackpot
oered by Mega Millions last Friday
inspired Americans to spend a jaw-
dropping . billion in lottery tickets.
Last year, Americans spent s,o
billion on lotteries. More Americans play the lottery than
regularly attend church.
Get this: One in ve Americans say winning the lottery is
the most practical way to amass wealth, according to a survey
by the Consumer Federation of America and the Finan-
cial Planning Association. Among poorer Americans, this
delusion is even more pervasive. A full percent of people
making under s:,,ooo a year believe the lottery is their
best hope of nancial security. Not working hard, or saving,
or investing soundly, or contributing a useful product or
service to the free marketbut just throwing money into a
giant whirlpool of impossiblility and crossing your ngers.
Behold this regrettable manifestation of a pack of lies
commonly promoted and believed in America today: that
honest work is a curse and idleness a blessing; that happi-
ness comes from materialism; that luxuries are a birthright;
that wealth redistribution is only fair; that dreams of fame
and fortune can come true, no matter the odds; that it is
more blessed to receive than to give.
Nevertheless, lottery authorities are more than willing
to help these fools part with their money. Tey need the
cash. In a tough economy, deeply indebted state and local
governments are turning to gambling for a quick x. Tats
why youve seen casinoswhich, up to :o existed legally
only in Las Vegas and Atlantic Citysuddenly popping
up in nearly every state in the union. And its why lotteries
are more and more common. Today, , states have lotter-
ies. Generally, administrative costs and payouts to winners
only take ,, percent of lottery revenueand even the prize
money is heavily taxedleaving a handsome cut for the
state or city.
Put simply, lotteries are a taxmostly on the people
who can least aord it. Te same hard times that are hitting
governments are also pounding the families sinking their
bucks into Mega Millions and Powerball. In one sense it
is pitiable, and in another sense criminal, that at the same
time we are witnessing rising unemployment, climbing
costs of living and record debt, we are also seeing soaring
lottery ticket sales.
A lottery is a scamand fundamentally, profoundly
immoral. On one side is someone seeking to get something
for nothing. On the other is a government enriching itself
by preying on its citizens human frailties, heedless of the
damage it is causing the people it is meant to serve. Aside
from further impoverishing the poor and sucking money
out of local economies, lotteries also fuel gambling addic-
tion that leads to other social pathologies. Even the tiny few
who actually win usually end up the worse for it. Tey ofen
become victims of scams, bad investment advice, never-
ending solicitation, or libel and slander lawsuits. Many
experience bankruptcy, a surge in family problems, and di-
vorce. Studies show o percent of them blow all their win-
nings within ve years. In the process, they will see family
and friendships destroyed and the nancial security they
hoped for disappear, says nancial adviser Daryl LePage.
Te troubles associated with lotteries and other forms of
gambling illustrate that the law of God is a living law. Te at-
titude of greed and getwithin both the people who partici-
pate in these practices and those who organize and peddle
themdirectly breaks Gods law of love, of outowing
concern for the welfare of the other personthe way of uivi.

Supreme Court cases in history
Marbury v. Madison in :8o, Chief
Justice John Marshall established the
principle that the Supreme Court can
declare acts of Congress null and void
if these acts violate the Constitution.
Tey have been doing so for more

Tere is no way that Barack Obama
has never heard of it or really believes
it to be unprecedented afer two cen-
turies of countless precedents.
In short, he is simply lying.
Now there are dierent kinds of
liars. If we must have lying presidents
of the United States, I prefer that they
be like Richard Nixon. You could just
look at him and tell that he was lying.
But Obama is much smoother. On
this and on many other issues, you
would have to know what the facts are
to know that he is lying. He is also
counting on something else namely,
that the pro-Obama media will not
expose his lies.
It would be hard to become nos-

Obamas lies are just as big but not as

payment you scrimped and saved for, plus all the mortgage
payments made over ve years, would be completely gone.
Wiped out afer ve years.
Although some analysts think house prices have hit
bottom, Shiller notes that national house prices have fallen
for ve straight months. Following the initial price plunge,
downward momentum in the real-estate market has ac-
celerated in the past ve years, he says.
Tat may be startling news, but it is downright ominous
considering everything the government has done to prop
up the market.
So if housing prices are not going to recover for a gen-
eration, what does that mean for the average American:
It means baby boomers will have to nd another way to
fund retirement. It means that people will be stuck paying
interest on something that is going down in value. It means
fewer jobs. It means a slower economy.
And it means: Get ready for another bubbleand an-
other accident.
Tere will be growing pressure on politicians to do
somethinganythingeven if it is actually detrimental to
the overall health of the economy. Politicians will embrace
ever more dangerous stimulus measures to boost the
economy. Te problem is that America is broke, so the Fed-
eral Reserve will have no choice but to drastically intervene
in markets.
Te Fed is already printing money to cover more than
half of all government spending. And that isnt enough. But
sustained money printing is an accident waiting to happen.
All that newly created money and credit may cover gov-
ernment debts, but it eventually ows into the markets. It
distorts them. Ten the speculators arrive. Prices skyrocket.
You know the rest. It ends with tears.
Get prepared for another bubble. It is forming now. And
it will be more dangerous and bigger than any one yet.

country, an Associated Press analysis

push to relieve patients suering is
spawning an addiction epidemic.
From New Yorks Staten Island to
Santa Fe, N.M., Drug Enforcement
Administration gures show dramatic
rises between :ooo and :o:o in the
distribution of oxycodone, the key
ingredient in OxyContin, Percocet
and Percodan. Some places saw sales
increase sixteenfold.
Meanwhile, the distribution of
hydrocodone, the key ingredient in
Vicodin, Norco and Lortab, is rising in
Appalachia, the original epicenter of
the painkiller epidemic, as well as in
the Midwest.
Te increases have coincided with
a wave of overdose deaths, pharmacy
robberies and other problems in New
Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Florida and
other states. Opioid pain relievers, the
category that includes oxycodone and
hydrocodone, caused :,8oo overdose
deaths in :oo8 alone, and the death

n Britain regrets selling its energy
industry
Britain may not be able to get the
electricity it needs afer two German
companies backed out of plans to
build up to six more nuclear reac-
tors on March :. [Link] and vwi .u
blamed their decision on the rising
cost of nuclear power and the German
governments decision to end nuclear
power in Germany. Tis is a devastat-
ing blow which leaves the UK govern-
ment energy strategy in tatters, said
the national secretary for energy of the
general union umv. Finding someone
to replace these two will be hard. Who
else is there to replace them: asked
energy director at Mott MacDonald,
Simon Harrison. Te list has been
exhausted . Te Times Tim Webb
warned that the predicament exposes
how dependent the country is on the
whims of foreign governments. None
of this would matter so much if Britain,
like Germany and France, had its own
national energy champions capable of
pulling o the huge, risky investment
required for nuclear, he writes. But
we dont. Instead, many of Britains
strategic assets have been sold o. Brit-

surrendered its energy policy.
n 25% of youths have addict parent
One in four British children live
with a parent with drug or alcohol
addictions, according to a year-long
commission set up by drug char-

March ,o, highlighted statistics from
earlier studies that showed that over
:.o million children in the UK live
with a hazardous drinker and ,o,,ooo
with a dependant drinker; ,,o,ooo

problems. Te report argued that drug
addiction treatments should focus on
helping the whole family, not just the

n Canada ditches the penny
Canada announced the death of the
penny on March :. Pennies take
up too much space on our dressers at
home, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty
told the House of Commons. Tey
take up far too much time for small
businesses trying to grow and create
jobs. Flahertys lighthearted com-
ments highlight a dangerous problem
with the Canadian dollar. It just cant
seem to hold its value. But it is a prob-
lem faced by virtually all the worlds
currencies. Everywhere you look, mon-
ey seems to be on a race to the bottom.
Canadian dollar, U.S. dollar, kroner,
pound, euro, yen, yuanthey all are
losing purchasing power at a startling
rate. It now costs :.o Canadian cents
to mint a penny (zinc plus labor costs).
Consequently, the Canadian govern-
ment loses s:: million per year making
money. Tere was a time when minting
money actually made nations money.
Many nations, including the U.S.,
Canada and Australia, actually minted
half-penny coins. And these coins
could be used to purchase real goods.

Armstrong wrote about how as a boy
his mother had asked him to [g]o to
the meat shop and get a dimes worth
of round steak. And tell the butcher to
put in plenty of suet. A dimes worth
meant each person in his family
received a modest-sized piece of meat,
plus plenty of gravy for the potatoes.
Today, a dime might buy a prover-
bial pack of bubble gum. Te worlds
devaluing currencies are a symptom
of a very sick nancial system. Expect
much more upheaval ahead.

them one by one, execution-style. Gut-

phrase, Garbage in, garbage out
meaning, if the programming was lousy,
the computers output would be useless.
Te human mind is a million times
more sophisticated and powerful than
a computer, but the same principle ap-
plies: the quality of our mental output
depends on what we put into our minds!
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs :,:,).
Jesus expounded on this in Matthew :,::,-:. What we put
into our bodies eventually comes out, He said. Filling our
minds with garbage adversely impacts our overall charac-
terthe way we react and behave.
But Jesus also said good things will proceed out of us if
we take charge of our lives and start controlling what goes
in! (Matthew :::,,-,,). Righteousness in, righteousness out,
you might say.
People sometimes wonder why they cant get rid of sin-
ful thoughts. Its generally because they arent diligently
working to replace those thoughts with the things of God
whatsoever is true, honest, just, pure and lovely (Philip-
pians :8). Te mind, like nature, abhors a vacuum. If we
actively ll our minds with purity and holiness, then there
wont be room for wrong thoughts.
To meditate on God and His ways, we must regularly
feed on, or study, His inspired Word (: Peter ,::-:; John o).
David wrote that he meditated on Gods Word day and
night (Psalm :::). For David, meditating on Gods law was
not an occasional activity, but a cos1.1 process of set-
ting his mind on the things of God (note the words seek
and set in Colossians ,::-:).
Te word meditate here means 1o 1uix .voU1to
consider. Whatever lls our minds, in other words, is the
subject of our meditation. But Davids meditation on Gods
law didnt just come naturallyhe had to really work at it
(Psalm :::).
In this spiritual war against Satan and his demons, the
frontline of our battleeld is in the mind (James :::-:,).
Tis is where we are engaged in a life-and-death struggle
to resist against the devils powerful broadcast (Ephe-
sians:::-:).
Are we obedient to God in all things (: Corinthi-
ans::)even in our thoughts (: Corinthians :o:,): Or are
we ofen taken captive by our own wicked and perverse
reasoning: We have to constantly guard against those
invading thoughts and temptations and not allow them to
gain a foothold in the mind.
Attack those negative thoughts with the corresponding
right thought, immediately and forcefully! Overcome the
evil by replacing it with the good (Romans :::::).

ductive and useful!

Emotionally and spiritually, you

Tens of Billions of

tens of billions of them in our galaxy

A European team said on Wednes-
day that about o percent of red dwarf
starsthe most common type in the

Earth planet orbiting in a habitable
zone that would allow water to ow on
the surface.
Since there are around :oo billion
red dwarfs in the Milky Way, the
number of worlds that are potentially
warm enough and wet enough to sup-
port life is enormous.
Xavier Bonls of the Institute
of Planetology and Astrophysics in
Grenoble, the leader of the team, said
the o percent gure was at the high
end of what had been expected and
the nding underscored the preva-
lence of small rocky planets.
His team is the rst to calculate the
number of super-Earthsplanets with
a mass between one and :o times the
Earthin such habitable zones, al-
though previous research has found the
Milky Way to be awash with planets.
Red dwarfs, which are faint and
cool compared to the sun, account for
around 8o percent of the stars in the
Milky Way.
Afer studying :o: of these stars in
the southern skies using a European
Southern Observatory telescope in
Chile, Bonls and colleagues found
rocky planets were far more common
than massive gas giants like Jupiter
and Saturn in our solar system.
Scientists aim to take a closer look
at some of the Earth-like planets as
they pass in front of nearby red dwarfs,
which should yield information about
their atmospheres .

Germany sparking a security emer-

unilateral recognition of Slovenia and
Croatia as sovereign states separate
from greater Yugoslavia. Tis was Ger-
manys rst foreign policy initiative
following unication of East Germany
with its western counterpart. Te rest is history, and a
rather bloody history at that. Te resultant Balkan wars
ended with the entire Balkan Peninsula a veritable colony
of the German-dominated European Union.
Recentlythis time by Germany applying an economic
rather than a military chokehold on its victimGreece
has succumbed as the nal Balkan nation to capitulate to
Berlins demands. In every respect, Greece is now subservi-
ent to Berlin as its latest Balkan colony. It now remains for
Cyprus to fold under nancial and economic pressure from
Berlin. Ten Germany will have all its stepping stones into
the western shores of Israel set like
ducks in a row.
In the meantime, moves are afoot
to strengthen German military pres-
ence in what is becoming the most
crucial seaway in the world: the
nexus between the Indian Ocean
and the Arabian Sea, through which
a third of global trade travels.
We reported last week on Ger-
man moves, via the EU, to strength-
en its naval, military and air pres-
ence around the Horn of Africa. A
further eort to shore up Germanys
naval strengthenhancing its ability to strike land-based
targets in Somaliawas highlighted last week by the sharp
analysts at [Link].
Following the European Union approval for its Somali
mission to strengthen its military presence o the coast of
Somalia, enabling it to engage land-based targets, German
military advisers are pressing for extra strike capabil-
ity. German government advisers are pleading for using
submarines in the war on piracy at the Horn of Africa.
Tanks to their highly modern sensor technology, Ger-
man submarines are not only capable of covertly observing
the pirates vessels and following their course, but also of
observing the pirates potential bases both day and night,
according to a statement just published by the German
Institute for International and Security Aairs (swv). Te
bases could therefore be attacked with greater precision, as
the EU decided Friday (March :,).
Yet, as our friends at [Link] point
out, the real reasons behind this push for German combat-
ready dominance o the Horn of Africa is geostrategic.
In fact, it is a further initiative to consolidate Germanys
military moves south and east.
What is the end goal of Germanys military moves south
and east? Believe it or not, the real prize, even above that of
protecting access to vital energy supplies, is the jewel in the
German elites imperialist crown: Jerusalem!
With the consolidation of its presence in the Mediter-
ranean (access being opened up by the gif of warm-water
ports in the Adriatic courtesy of the Balkan wars) and
eorts to now harden its presence at the southern tip of
the Red Sea, Germany is carefully positioning itself to gain
direct and open access to the tiny nation of Israel. In fact,
German elites intend to ultimately take over the Middle
East peace process.
Germany took a step in this direction last week in its lat-
est public declaration of support for the Palestinian cause.
German Middle East diplomacy is working in tandem with
German military policy for the Middle East. At the end of a
meeting of the German-Palestinian Coordination Council
last Wednesday in Berlin, Foreign Minister Guido West-
erwelle announced that the German government would
render nancial support to the Palestinian cause: Our aim
is a Palestinian state as part of a two-state solution, he
said, and we support the development of that state not just
theoretically, but also practically. Germany, he said, was
a friend and partner for the Palestinian people and for the
Palestinian Administration in Ramallah.
Meanwhile, Israeli government ocials hold to a line
that, afer the U.S., Germany is their greatest ally.
Germany is regarded as the countrys closest friend, said
former Israeli ambassador to Germany Avi Primor. Ger-
many has also already sold weapons, including submarines,
to the Israeli armed forces. In mid-March it was announced
that the Israelis would receive a sixth vessel and that Ger-
many would pay for about a third of it. Experts said the
boat, which is thought to be capable of carrying medium-
range nuclear weapons, could be part of a strategy of deter-
rence against an Iranian missile threat (ibid, April:).
Tus we see Germany playing both sides against the
middle between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
Israels recognition of its friendship with Germany and
Germanys eorts to take over the Middle East peace pro-
cess are in complete accord with the Bible prophecies in the
books of Hosea and Micah.
Keep checking this website for the clearest analyses of
the rise of German power south and east of Berlin. Its a
great sign of the ongoing fulllment of the most powerful
of end-time prophecies leading to Jesus Christs most im-
minent return.
