Reporting follows two steps:

- First, Notification
- Second, casualty analysis (investigation)
Reporting steps in EMCIP
Reporting steps in GISIS
Before it was based on 10 Annexes

Since Circ.4 was adopted, it is more similar to EMCIP
(with earlier notification and similar data content)
Similarity should be noticeable soon

Though you might lead an investigation where an EU accident
investigation body is involved as substantial interested State,

and you will commit to record the investigation results into
GISIS (IMO)

dont forget, they will need to report in EMCIP, anyway
