MIGRANT MISSION
Our Georgia Baptist Convention Dental Van will be ministering to the
migrant workers again this year. Three of our local dentists are
volunteering their time to meet the critical needs of our farm workers.
Please join us by donating bars of soap, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes
and dental floss by June 11th. Donations should be clearly marked and
left in the church parlor.
Rev. Jeff Baxley accepted the call to become the Minister
of Youth and Students here at First Baptist. What a strong message
he brought by sharing his testimony and vision. Jeff will officially
begin by attending MERGE CAMP with our youth on June 16. He
and Michele, and the boys, will be fully with us by July 1. Continue
to pray for them as they transition to this new position.
A hearty THANK YOU!, to our Personnel Committee for
their dedicated efforts in finding Gods person for this position.
Thank you, Glenn Heard, chairman, Jim Beck, Susan Johnson,
Tommy Howell, Jack Boyd, Dorislynn Padgett, Bobby Barber and
Gene Dunlap for your service on this committee.
Moving ahead to this Sunday. There will be a Mission
Meal following the 11 AM worship service. Come to the
Fellowship Hall and share a meal of: Baked Ham, Mac and Cheese,
Green Beans, Fresh Garden Vegetable Salad, Fruit Medley, Rolls
and assorted desserts. The meal is on a donation basis. All
proceeds will be taken by Delrose Betts for orphanages in Uganda.
June 11 is our Church Wide Picnic and cook out at the
Bainbridge Ball Fields. We will gather as we have in the past at
6pm for our meal and devotion. Then there will be opportunity for
some fun ball play with three fields available for the evening. Bring
your lawn chair, dress comfortably for the weather and enjoy a time
of outdoor fellowship.
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Paul

SAINTS ALIVE
Last weeks ministry concert took us to the Colquitt Alterna-
tive Care Home in Colquitt and to Great Grans Care home in
Donalsonville. The singing was awesome and the reception by
the staff and residents was overwhelming.
Remember to gather in the Choir room at 6:15 PM Sunday as
we will share in the evening worship service.

Next Monday, June 9, we meet at Riverside Place to begin
singing at 9:30 AM. I have all the music to sing. After River-
side Place, we will travel down the street to Bainbridge
Healthcare for a concert. Remember to wear your outfits.
Lunch will be Dutch treat at a location to be announced.

CHURCH MUSICIANS NEEDED
Please take a moment to complete and return the Music Minis-
try Service Survey which was sent to known musicians here at
FBC. Your faithful participation is needed for our body to per-
form at its best!

MIGRANT MINISTRY NEEDS HELP
To support the farmers and laborers, we have teamed up with
state and local teams who also labor to meet the needs of indi-
viduals and families. A variety of volunteers provide medical,
dental, healthcare, education, translation as well as food and
clothing assistance. In addition to hosting a meal for all the
volunteers, FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH has provided cloth-
ing. Workers, clothing, and cash is needed in order to help all
who need it. See the Missions Bulletin Board across from the
office for specific details on how you can help.
