NHS Officer Nominees 2014-2015
Presidential Candidates:
Amanda Luce
My name is Amanda Luce and I am a junior in the IB program at our school. I believe that as a club
committed to serving our community and being active in school activities, there are many possible
impacts that we can have on people's lives. It is important to me that we have positive impacts on
students at our school and on members of our community, so that it reflects a positive view of
LOLHS. I already have some great projects and service opportunities in mind for our club to fulfill.
I am best qualified to serve this club as president, because I am very creative and love working
with others. To me, there is nothing greater than seeing a project carried out to completion by a
group of people with a common goal. I have recently graduated from the Youth Leadership of
Pasco program, where I learned important leadership skills and made connections with
prominent organizations in our community. Vote for me as president and I will help to ensure that
the NHS club at LOLHS reaches its highest potential in the 2014-2015 school year.
Lela Gregory

necessary to successfully conduct a National Honor Society club so that all members have the
opportunity to participate and have fun! I think of NHS as being a group of determined over
achievers that want to better their community through leadership, service, scholarship, and
character. I am hard working and can bring many creative ideas to the table, and I will strive to
make each member feel as though they are contributing positively to the club at all times. I hope to
be the leader of the pack of this group of determined workers so that we can make, not only
ourselves, but also our school community a better place.
