THE ONLY WAY
A nurse on night duty in a great hospital in Chicago mistakenly
gave a lethal dose of wrong medicine to a little boy. The error was not
detected until it was too late to save his life.
Was she not sincere in what she did? Certainly! Was she not
conscientiously performing her duties? Certainly! She was
sincerelywrong! She was conscientiouslywrong!
Many sincerely say, All religions are good. They all lead to
heaven. Many say, Let your conscience be your guide. If your
conscience tells you a thing is all right, it is O.K. But they all are
wrong!
All religions are not good. All religions do not lead to heaven. There is
only one way to heaven. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14: 6).

family in your prayers.

BENEVOLENCE FUND
The Benevolence Fund is a fund
to help people in need, especially
our church family. We helped in
the amount of $9,682.07 in the
year of 2013. Most of this was for
members of our church family that
had special needs. Already in
2014 we have given $2,716.00. As
you can see this has left our
Benevolence Fund almost empty.
If you feel that you would like to
help replenish this fund, please
make checks to the church with
notation for Benevolence Fund.
Thanks, Shirley Jones!

FROM THE PASTOR
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INFORMATION
May 4, 2014
April 8, 2012
Today, your child will learn that good leaders listen to
their leaders with a good attitude and at the same time
look for ways to lead people towards God, lead people
to make right choices, and lead people to reach out to
others. Bottom Line: Do things without being told.
Thank You for supporting the Russellville Church of
God Childrens Ministries
The Bible is full of game changing moments, made by
regular guys and ladies, which resulted in unthinkable
wins for the Kingdom. Tonight, we will learn about
Peters game changing COMEBACK as he is restored
and preaches to the world.
____________
A young man was telling his friend about a dishonest
thing he had done. He said to the friend, Of course I
know that it was not exactly straight, but . Said the
friend, In other words, it was crooked! Then the self-
excusing, dishonest young man said, Well, I wouldnt
want to call it crooked, but it wasnt exactly straight!
Remember this, replied his friend, a line is either
straight or it is crooked. If it is not exactly straight, it is
crooked. Remember also that ill-gotten gain never
prospers!

Pastor Jonathons Word of The Week
Coming Soon:
SOAP DEVO ON THE GO
S: Scripture reading
O: Observation on a particular part of your daily reading
A: Application of that verse or section
P: Prayer
This program will challenge you to pick up the Word of
God every day. Simply stating, this is a church wide
Bible Study that everyone will be able to participate in
together. Each day you will choose from three options,
depending on how much time you have. The categories
are SNACK, MEAL, and FEAST. Each category will
contain some of the same scriptures as the others; only
differing in their quantity. For example:
SNACK MEAL FEAST
Gen 2:4-25 Gen 2; Luke1: 26-66 Gen 1-2; Luke 1
It is important for us, the Russellville COG family, to
press into the Word of God on a daily bases. We are
currently working on a social media platform to run SOAP
devotions and as soon as we are finished we will make it
available to you!
Give us this day our daily bread ~ Jesus Christ
