Glass Block

Glass block is a masonry building material made of glass that is cast into blocks and used in walls. It allows light transmission while maintaining privacy. Glass blocks come in various sizes and patterns and are made through a process of melting recycled glass, sand, soda ash and limestone at high temperatures to form molten glass that is then cast into blocks. Glass block was originally developed in the early 1900s to provide natural light in industrial buildings.
