Sample Lesson Plan

This document provides instructions for two language arts activities: 1) The Detailed Detective game teaches students about general vs. specific descriptions by having them try to identify items from increasingly specific clues on index cards. The goal is for all students to correctly identify the item based on the most specific clue. 2) Hot Dog Sentences is an activity where students draw pictures of hot dogs or use construction paper cutouts, and write sentences using nouns for the hot dog parts and verbs for actions. The sentences are then combined into a paragraph with added adjectives and adverbs.
