Solution

This document discusses shear stress and shear force in I-section beams. It provides examples of calculating the maximum shear stress in an I-section beam given the shear force and beam dimensions. It also shows how to calculate the shear stress distribution across the beam section and determine the shear force carried by the web. Solutions are presented for two example problems involving finding shear stresses in specific locations of I-section and T-section beams under known shear forces. Diagrams are included illustrating the shear stress distributions.
