Transparency Is Prerequisite For Transformation (I)

Shalom friends!!! Not too long ago I was blessed with a powerful word of devotion from second Corinthians. Now I want to share with you some of the nuggets I got from that experience. I am reminded of what Leo Tolstoy said: “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” This is an interesting statement and has its merits. The truth is that we cannot change ourselves. If that would be the case there would be no need for Christ to come to our world and die for us. Christ came not to make bad people better but to make dead people alive (Eph. 2:4-5). ... Transparency is Prerequisite for Transformation (I)

Not too long ago I was blessed with a powerful word of devotion from second Corinthians. Now I want to share with you some of the nuggets I got from that experience. I am reminded of what Leo Tolstoy said: Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself . This is an interesting statement and has its merits. The truth is that we cannot change ourselves. If that would be the case there would be no need for Christ to come to our world and die for us. Christ came not to make bad people better but to make dead people alive (Eph. 2:4-5). Even more than that God is making sinners into saints. And that is the transformation all of us needed. We were formerly sinners and now as Gods beloved children we are called saints (1 Cor. 1:1-2). Now we are invited to participate in the process of transformation (or spiritual formation) conducted by the Holy Spirit and executed by the revealed Word of God in our lives. Let me remind you of the four important levels of spiritual transformation. 1. The spiritual birth is the first level of spiritual transformation. In the spiritual birth (John 3:3,5) God supernaturally transferred us from one kingdom to another kingdom (Col. 1:13). Now we are so grateful to God for He has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light (Col. 1:12). 2. Renewal of the mind is the second level of spiritual transformation. When we became saved no one pressed the delete button in our minds. Most of the bad habits (fleshly patterns) as sinners, were not erased; they still there. After the point of salvation, we enter into a process of spiritual growth and maturity. This spiritual growth is dependent upon the continuous renewal of our minds (Eph. 4:22-24, Rom. 12:2). As the disciple of Christ matures, going through a series of spiritual transformations, he or she is empowered Christ came not to make bad (from inside out) to experience practical people better but to make victory over these fleshly patters and dead people alive (Eph. 2:4-5) becoming a living expression of Christs life. John writes, because as He is, so also are we in this world (1 John 4:17 (b)). Please observe the tenses of the verbs: is and are. This is not after we die and go to heaven. This is true (or it should be true) here and now. 3. Transformation in the likeness of Christ is the third level of spiritual transformation. God desires to have sons and daughters who resemble the image of His beloved Son (Heb. 2:10-11). God wants to live His life Jesus [Link], (734) 972-5717, valy@[Link]

Christ through us. You probably heard this before: God gave His Life FOR us, in order to give His Life TO us, in order that He might LIVE His Life THROUGH us! And, in Gods economy, that is the bottom line. Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27). I like the way one of my spiritual mentors likes to put it: Christ came in you in order to get out of you. Transparency before God and people is the prerequisite for the third level of spiritual transformation (2 Cor. 3:18). This is an important aspect in genuine Christian spirituality. To be transparent means not to pretend anymore. Unpretentiousness before God and people is absolutely necessary, especially for the third level of transformation. We cannot impress God therefore we must stop trying to impress people. But we all, with unveiled face, writes apostle Paul in 2 Cor. 3:18. We no longer try to DONATE ONLINE hide the failures of the flesh. We no longer recognize others according to their flesh (2 Cor. 5:16) but according to the Spirit. Being clothed with our dwelling from heaven should be the dream of every Christian. This is the consummation of our faith to be like Christ and to see Him face to face . Paul writes, For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face (1 Cor. 13:12). This should be a deep longing within all of us as Gods children. Paul expresses this very well, in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead ( Php. 3:11). This is the ultimate hope and dream to which we look forward as Christians. Take this away and we have nothing. Therefore, encourage one another with these words, Beloved, we are children of God, and it has not appeared URFM offers Advanced Discipleship now as yet what we will be.
