Shortstop Robbery in Custody

The Hibbing Police Department arrested an adult male suspect in connection with the robbery of the Hibbing Shortstop. Investigators positively identified Devon Lawrence Farley, born February 27, 1985, as the suspect. Officers executed a search warrant at an address in the 1600 block of East 29th Street where they recovered evidence and took Farley into custody without incident. Farley is being held at the St. Louis County Jail awaiting charges of second-degree aggravated robbery.

December 30, 2013 RE: Shortstop Robbery Suspect in Custody

Investigation into the Hibbing Shortstop robbery has culminated in the arrest and formal charging of an adult male. Investigators working the case made positive identification of the suspect in the incident. A search warrant was applied for and conducted at the 1600 block of East 29th Street. Items of evidence were also recovered. Officers of the Hibbing Police Department executed the search warrant at 1235 hours on 12/30/2013. No resistance was met. One adult male identified as Devon Lauerence Farley D.O.B. 02/27/1985 was taken into custody without incident. Farley is being held in the St. Louis County Jail pending formal charging for 2nd Degree aggravated robbery.
