Notice of Public Hearing

The Montgomery County Historic Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing on August 12, 2009 at 7:30 pm to consider adding three resources to the county's Master Plan for Historic Preservation. The resources are the Greenwich Forest Historic District in Bethesda, the Bureau of Animal Industry Building in Bethesda, and the Higgins Family Cemetery in Rockville. At the hearing, the commission will review the architectural and historical significance of the resources and make a recommendation about whether they merit historic designation. If designated, the properties would be protected under preservation ordinances, and if not designated, they would not be subject to those ordinances. Public comments on this action will be accepted at the hearing or in writing.
