PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE

The PSME Laguna QBL (Host) Chapter, through the PSME National, will be hosting/conducting a Professional Development Course (PDC) for Registered Mechanical Engineers who are preparing and planning to take Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) Licensure Examination, to prepare them to answer oral questions propounded by the Board of Mechanical Engineering (BME). This seminar is also geared towards updating participants not only in their fields of specializations, but also in other fields of practice, such as but not limited to: HVAC, Power Plants/Boilers, Machine Shop Practices, Elevators/Escalators, Compressed Air Systems, Welding, Pumps, Manufacturing processes, Fire Protection systems, Economic Viability, Professional Ethics, R.A. 8495, and PRC PME Examination Requirements. The course will be held on December 18 & 19, 2009 at Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba, Bucal, Calamba City. The lecture will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on the first day, and on the second day, the program will be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Chairman of the Board of Mechanical Engineering will be our special guest on the afternoon of the 2nd day from 5pm onwards wherein the participants can have a dialogue with the chairman. This is also the question and answer portion where the participants can ask questions directly to our Chairman regarding the exams. After the dialogue, the certificates of completion will be distributed followed normally by a fellowship cocktail. Fee is P7,000.00 per participant, to cover expenses inherent thereto including the food, professional fees of speakers, traveling expenses, hotel accommodations, handouts and CDs etc., and fees for the MC/Moderator for the entire duration of the seminar and other miscellaneous expenses.
